Pika VS Ike Help.

Well, I main Pikachu and Recently My brother Played (And won) A tornement with Ike.
Well, I am trying to finaly become better than ike.
I play best with pikachu, so Can someone give me some advanced Techs With Pikachu and some tips against my Brother?
His Ike is Scary.

Welcome to the forums.

Use thunder jolt on Ike. Seriously.

As for techs, go to the Pika info page. It has all the info that you need to get started.

ike isn't much trouble imo, just got to know where to be offensive and where to be defensive. piman has a good ike. i lost to him. =(

QAC behind him and down smash. Ike's down smash has a bit of start up lag so take advantage of it, and in result, Ike can't attack behind him fast enough. All in all, Ike is very laggy, so use it to your advantage. And when he is high up, use Thunder (thanks captain obvious). Usmash -> Thunder works good at high percents, and, if they don't DI, they will get *****.

spam eruption and aether? That's so fail.... those are ike's laggiest moves... A good ike relys on nair, jab, and fair...

Eruption can be effective, but spamming it leaves you very open. Not a move you want to button mash with.

Maybe if you mained Ike, you would know that was wrong... His utilt is faster than his aether. And every aerial is faster than aether. ftilt and dtilt look same speed/little faster to me though. but aether has too much after lag that his tilts are more preferred.

Chain grab, tjolt, and never ever be aggressive. Or you'll get hit. NEVER USE SKULL BASH AS A RECOVERY WHEN IKE CAN REACH YOU. You will either, be spiked, f or usmashed, or hit by eruption.

Thunder works well too.

projectile spam disadvantage comes from him being slow, his tilts aren't the fastest things in the world either, his aerials are a bit faster like i said. But his jab cancels quite a bit of projectiles. But the projectiles that cause problems are the ones that can't be jab canceled. Which pikachu lacks, besides thunder.

OK i'll be more specific about thunder:

Great edge guard against QD whenever Ike does that (rarely against a smart Ike), heck it can stop aether but you'll be putting yourself in danger a bit by jumping of the stage. Also, everyone knows about thunder, so you put them in the air and follow them. Thunder kills work well since he can't reflect. but blindly thundering won't work, Ike can counter it to stay safe.

Also you probably can get a thunder hit in the other hit box that kills horizontally by really good prediction or Ike being stupid and using his slowest moves without thinking.

Pikachu can cg ike till like 40ish. ic can be ended early with a garuanteed usmash.

the cg is up to 50ish percent. Ending with a usmash 100%. But that's if you can get to him. When ike uses his aerials and when spaced all the way trying To grab will lead to being jabbed and against ike it takes 4-5 hits to be at killing percent. Good ikes will abuse their range to keep you away.

Ok. Even though you can jab well, you are going to have to get close to Pika, and honestly, Pika can destroy Ike from either area.

If Ike sits back, he is going to get camped to death (I don't like doing this, but I have seen it happen). If he gets close, Pika can rush in with many of his different approaches or wait for Ike to do something and start from there. If Ike is at 0% when this happens, well, he can kiss a big a chuck of his life away.

Oh yeah, Pika can juggle Ike with his down throw combo at the end of his cg's as well.

Pika may have to get in tight with some people, but Ike isn't one of those players.

Also, I'm not knocking you in anyway. I know that you main Ike. I play Ike a lot when I am messing around, and I also have quite a bit of tourney experience vs him. I was just giving my $0.02.
