wow. those are some of the worst names i've ever heard. no offense.

oh, that reminds me. here's one that you can use: noah fence or know a fence. get it? it is so clever. your audience will drop dead upon hearing it. also if you use this name i want 20% of the proceeds.

You have a pretty odd list of names. What kind of a name is "destructive pick of death"?
I have a few friends who started a band named Blood Of The Slain. Their previous name was Dying Scene. So, (just to make this topic more interesting) which name do you like better of the two?

no-ones here

some good, some bad, some downright hilarious spawns of a brain storm.

iBand was funny, but i think it'll get apple on your *** in a heartbeat. the

the ones like "our guitarist never practices" or "our drummer sucks" (or something like that) you should use for song titles!

Most of them suck, but if I had to choose 5:

Calling You Mad
Sword of Light
Dragon's Curse
Rooster of Death
Destructive Annihilation

BTW Kso I want to hear your story
So me and my friend charlie (my other band member) are up late jamming and we decided that we were an official band and we wanted to make a myspace profile and whatnot. this was following taking 1st place in two music competitions and a crowd favorite at open mic night.

so in order to make a myspace profile we needed a name, duh. so like we tried different things like "The Awakening" but apparently there was a band named that already, and that disappointed me kuz i really liked it. We finally decided upon a name that actually meant something to us and related to something the band does. I considered good names to be something I could answer fully to if someone asked how our band got its name. simply saying "it's cool" doesn't cut it.

So we settled on "From Dusk to Dawn" (NOT like the movie, which is ACTUALLY named "From Dusk 'till dawn." From Dusk to Dawn originated because we both agreed that our late night jam sessions would usually go from late night sometimes until early morning. We simply had a great time hanging out in the music room and just messin around with covers and sometimes simply just rockin out. 'tis fun.

So i guess there is a moral to this story, so it relates to the topic. So, *person who made this topic*, if you want to have a good band name, simply do this:

Imagine you're band hits it big and you get interviewed for MTV or something, and one of the questions is "Why did your band settle for the name it has now?" If your answer is anything short of a story, it's probably not a good name.
