I've been having talks with the owner of Universe Billiards and he is very enthusiastic to hold biweekly or monthly tournaments, and is even willing to invest in extra consoles and televisions sometime down the road if preliminary tournaments work out. He's not asking for any revenue in return, either. The establishment is huge (it's a billiards hall) with plenty of seating, and quite comfortable couches. There's two big screen TVs (not sure what type they are, though). Large, free parking lot in the rear. I'd be willing to bring my PS3 and a copy of whatever game is being played (posted this on SRK, too, to see if anyone's interested there). The question is, who's willing to travel to Petaluma for potentially stable and a quality/reliable venue tournaments? If so, what game would you most like to see played (if not Melee/Brawl, what other game? / until we can expand if it turns out to be a success)? Could you bring setups if necessary? And what time/day of the week would be best for everyone to attend a biweekly?
Universe Billiards is in downtown Petaluma (at the East Washington exit right off the 101), about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Santa Rosa, a 5-10 minute drive from Cotati/Rohnert Park, a 15-20 minute drive from Novato, and 30-45 minutes from San Francisco.
For the increased traffic in his establishment I might even be able to talk him into discount food/drinks/pool for players, or even a free pizza/pitcher of soda (or beer if you're old enough)/free pool for the winners, but there's no promises on that.

EDIT: There is no cover charge to enter.
On a side note, if you know, could you refresh my memory as to which types of TVs are laggy and should be avoided?
