A quick thread to bring attention about two Peach related techs (some of you may be aware but I don't think I've seen in posted around here?)
Those of you who regularly used Peach in Brawl may remember a tech that allowed you to perform your standard F Smash (raqcuet, club, pan) whilst holding a Turnip without actually throwing the Turnip (which is what would normally happen if you input an F Smash).
This technique makes a return in Smash 4. To do this, you have to be holding down the Attack button and then input an F Smash. It's not the most practical of techs since 1) you have to engineer a scenario where you can press and hold the Attack button (i.e. whilst airdodging) 2) you'll charge the F Smash until you let go of the Attack button (so it isn't quite as instant as it could be) and 3) imo, it's very fiddly to perform with regards to button layout having to hold the Attack button and hit the the other stick
Something which is much more practical and useful imo is the ability to perform F Tilt whilst holding a Turnip!
To do this, you need to be crouching. Hit the C stick (set to Tilt/Smash) in the direction you're facing and volia! F Tilt with your Turnip still in hand. It's worth noting you can't perform an F Tilt in the opposite direction - you'll just throw the Turnip like normal.
Credit goes to @Graydient (who's thread I originally learnt this from)

This is far more practical than the F Smash method in my experience since all you need to do is crouch and buffer C Stick in the direction you're facing. I've recently been trying to work this into my game and I've found it's a nice mixup tool against opponents who expect a Turnip throw and consequently try and hit you with an aerial (Ness is a good example of someone this has applications against). It's also an extra OoS option since Turnip OoS often goes straight past your opponent - instead, you can drop your shield and buffer input a crouch + C stick in the direction you're facing
Next time you have a Turnip in hand, give this a shot! You may surprise yourself (and an opponent who's getting carried away with spaced aerials)!
