Ok, I've been searching all over internet how to install Brawl+ and Balanced Brawl on a PAL Wii but haven't gotten them to work, like for example whenever I try to load up plussery it says codes found and loads up fine but then it just boots up the vBrawl on the Gecko. Is there any chance someone could write a comprehensive quide how to install both Brawl+ and Balanced Brawl ALSO for the PAL users. I'm just ****ing desperate and pissed off with this thing, it'd great if there was a step-to-step, 100% idiot-proof installation quide for both (PAL/NTSC) users how to install these modifications, I think it should be stickied as well. I'm just all mixed up with all these versions and methods. If the guide could not be posted here then someplace else, thx.

1) we have a Q&A thread
2) we have a PAL thread
(both are stickied btw)

also you need to provide more info. what exact code set are you loading, how are you loading the codes, what is your system version etc.

1) Instead of making a topic that has RAGE all over it, try searching.

2)The guides for installation are pretty simple, even for PAL. Just put the files where they need to go.

EDIT: GOD DAMMIT PK.

Ok, according to brawlplus.net latest codeset that should be working on PAL is 4.1, I've tried loading that one. I'm loading codes trough Gecko on the Homebrew channel, the funny thing is that I can't Gecko on the HB menu, instead I see Brawl+-icon (sorta) which opens Gecko. I'm running 4.1E

If it opens Gecko it's fine.

Are you sure everything is not working and everything is where it needs to be? RSBP01 in /codes and al RSBP01.bin in your al folder? If you have all that then make sure you look at the snapshot that looks like static everywhere. It activates the codes.

Wait does 4.1 NEED the snapshot loader?

I don't have snapshop loader, neither do I have "/codes"-folder (I only have the one called "codes), al folder seems to be empty as well as the rp folder, I have the .gct file in the codes folder though. Hmm, i try to put all the PAL files to the correct directories and see if it works this time...thanks!

Edit. Didn't work, crap

Where should the files be actually? Mine are all in the apps folder

the / in front of codes just means that the codes folder is on the root of the sd card.

"However, if you would like to set this up on your own, proceed to step 2.

2. Download Gecko OS 1.9.1 Here. Decompress the zip file. Then go into the Gecko191/HBC/ folder and copy the Gecko191 folder from the HBC folder onto your SD card in the apps folder.

3. Download Gameconfig.txt here. (right click save as).

4. Place gameconfig.txt on your SD card without being in any folders (that is, the root of the SD card)

5. Download the RSBE01.gct file from here.

6. Place RSBE01.gct in the /codes/ folder on your SD card. This is the file which contains the Brawl+ codes. For all future updates, you only need to replace this file.

7. Place your SD card in your wii. Load up the homebrew channel, load up Gecko 1.9, launch game, and enjoy!"

This didn't work for me, I replaced the files with the PAL ones, it loads the game, says codes found and applying and then it just loads up vBrawl like always.

no prob. Like, if something said like /codes/something , then the something folder is inside of the codes folder, which is on the root of the sd card. Just as an example.

his thread was right above this one. also both threads shouldn't be here in the first place. we have Q&A section and a PAL specific thread.
