Before judging, do not fret, this is not to be an inflammatory post. I was thinking about it, Outside of Koolaid, and Abadango listed as top players there is not much in the way of rankings for other Pac-man players. I understand there are quite a few of us, but I wanted to know what the forum thought of who would be the top 10 of players thus far. I also know not all players are on the forum regularly, so if you wish to rank someone, if you have video evidence/tournament results, this will help. I also want to stress, this is not just theorycrafting on the forum, I am referring to actual game performance. We can all be masters of Pac on paper, but we definitely need to have videos of the various Pac-man play styles.

I will keep the thread up to date, once we get a good feel for even the first top 5 players.

Current Rankings
1. Abadango
2. Koolaid
3.BSP
4.Zage

I would have BSP as 3rd hands down

Then Zage...then me ^^
Nah, I'm not that good. I've got nothing quantifiable outside of my locals here, which don't mean that much. I'd put Zage above me atm just on the fact that he's doing pretty well on Anther's ladder IIRC. I've got nothing. I might start on the ladder, but I'm still on gamepad at home lol.

But I've seen your gameplay and you seem so great :crying:
I've fought Zage on the ladder. He's very talented, but his playstyle just screams "Koolaid #2" to me (no offense Zage ^^; )

None taken.

A bit early in the meta for this topic, but after just playing him, I would put BSP 3rd hands down.

Edit: Redpanda_Killanator is also ranked pretty high on his state's power rankings. IIRC

Looking like BSP takes 3rd till further notice. BSP thinks Zage is above him, that works for 4th.

Hey guys I'm new here and I've been looking through the pac threads for a a week or two now and I just made my account. When I was on the video thread, there was this guy named procyon who took down Nairo's Robin. Maybe he would be somewhere on this list? Btw kool aid has actually improved a lot since I last saw him at apex. Last week on nakat's zero to hero, Nakat brought kool aid in the lobby to help out and have a pac ditto with one of the people Nakat was teaching. Kool aid seemed completely different and was doing the key catch trick, a jab lock, bell footstools, and more. I don't know how to post links but you can go on YouTube and type in Leapoffaithnakat and the video is zero to hero week #6 day #1. In the comments section, someone posted where the pac ditto starts.

i can't post links just go to YouTube, type in leap of faith nakat, and click on zero to hero week 6 day 1. If ur referring to procyon beating nairo, then go to the video thread and its on the first post, first page

I would have me as 1st, then move everyone on the list down one..
When you get top 8 at Evo or apex, I'll agree to that

Sure but I won't play this week because school is starting up for me again and i got to study. Also I just started competitive since smash 4 wii u came out so I'm fairly decent. And do u want to do a best 3/5? P.S. I'm pretty excited since I haven't played anyone who's good competitively so this will be a great learning experience. I'll probably be on this Friday or Saturday so we can play then.

To be fair, you've claimed to be best -Insert Character- here on just about every character board you've been a part of.

Would be pretty neat if one of you uploaded the replay though.

Nothing against anyone, but we are playing a competitive game; only one thing matters: Results.

If you don't have tournament results, then you have nothing.

Now, everyone here including you knows that is a lie. I am sure there are amazing smashers who are hidden, possibly better than Zero ; just people who can't afford/shy/young and parents won't take em. You can speak for me but I don't like the way you speak in a general sense.

That is very true. It also doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is results.

That's like saying the greatest artist could be unknown. That is very possible; doesn't matter if no one sees their art.

If you want to claim to be the best, there's only one way to prove it. If you can't do that, then feel free to feel like the best, but don't insult those who HAVE proven it by claiming something you haven't earned yet.

Oh yeah jay kun when we play do you prefer custom moves on or off? A lot of people have started to play with them and I just unlocked all of pac's customs (which I'm super hype about since his neutral b customs are insane). On the other hand, I have very little experience with them so I would be fine having them off.

no, it does matter if no one sees their art, but the knowledge of their skill is known. i like overestimating opponents because it makes me play a safer game; the same can apply here

I would like to have a match with you. Seems like I can't say I am a good Pac-Man if I never really have a challenge. I don't care much about getting 2-3 stocked, I just want to know where I stand on the Pac-man Ladder.

On this note, I would like to have a few matches with you all. I am just now getting into competitive smash and want to know how I stack up as a fellow Pac-Player

"Hey guys I'm the best Pac-Man player here"
"Soz but I'm not going to play the game for another three months"

Don't just barge into a thread and make a wild claim that you are unable to verify.

Odd. I felt like you had more knowledge of fruits recatching setups. I'd still put you above.

On a side note, I hate fighting Pac-Man lol. I don't see how people do it.

I love playing the ditto, It oddly is my strongest match up. Fair /nair all day and steal fruit to fuel Z dropping.

When I am playing as Falcon, I tend to be less aggressive and try to grab fruit while shielding and start my own Z-dropping. I also bait hydrant drops, jab > Side B and launch them quickly to opponent. I die quickly when I recovery sadly, but that is the way of Falcon.

Wario, I spam bike at range, to force Pac-man to react. Get easy bites all day because Pac-man is unable to do much if done correctly. It actually is not that horrible a matchup for me because I know what Pac-man can do. I tend to punish with Waft to close stocks as well. I can also very effective weave through everything while recovering.

Granted I need to get myself out there a bit more and get my fundamentals better. I do not feel I will be close to considered top ten because of this. I just happen to have great Match-up knowledge that most people seem to agree with.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Pac-Dittos are my best matchup but they are indeed one of the most hilariously fun matches I have had. Just so many random events, and most Pac-Player that i have played online are having so much fun overall. We meet, we taught, we fight, we goof, we KO, we taunt again, and one of us wins with a Key to FH combo. SO much fun, to the point where I don't even care if I lose. I would honestly say 8/10 mtaches are in SD because Pac-Matches can last, what seems like, forever.

If I had to guess, Pac-Man can side B the bike and shield before it hits him. I have to try that out.
Not really, if you do that, you open yourself to bite or the bike itself. Losing any benefit. You may get one or two, but it is not something I would count on. The bike keeps moving and is not interrupted. You would be better to bait then side b fully, however that too is dangerous, because then you open yourself up to waft. I can go more indepth in the matchup thread. It really is a nuanced fight and even IMO.

We can have a match if you like. I'll start Streaming matches in mid-March (So when Mewtwo comes out, I'll have everything ready.) Nonetheless, I am always up for Pac-Dittos. Not going to say I am good, but I am quite fond of my Pac-Skills :)

Don't worry about it. If something happened or there's something serious going on in ur life then it takes priority over pac dittos
