Introduction
Welcome to the Smash 4 ("3DS & WiiU") Competitive Discussion forum!
This room is dedicated to discussing the competitive and metagame aspects for the latest Smash Bros. games; the collecting and analysing of game mechanics, tournament data and the proliferation of these to the community.
Please do not make Tier List threads, take a gander at the stickied Impressions thread instead.
Nothing about competitive discussion should be blog-like in nature, post in the advice thread instead.
Discussions in this forum should differentiate from the general boards. Posts should give positive and relevant contribution and threads should be presented well with a clear purpose and have a solid introduction to them. Simple questions and observations/discoveries should be asked in the Q&A thread.
Jokes, sarcasm or minor derailment can still be considered spam. Perhaps one cannot survive without expressing them, but you should be more than ready to pay the price for being a comedian.
We want this forum to be enjoyable to read for all people, but not necessarily posted in by all people. This doesn't mean you should be afraid to post here, a good question or observation can be extremely helpful.
Posting Probation
Smashboards rules are applied here harsher than they do elsewhere, and we aim to keep standards within here high.
Access to this room is a privilege, and to promote this we have a system known as "posting probation" that will automatically come into effect if you currently have 3 or more infraction points. This applies to all infractions you receive on this website.
If you have been infracted recently and suddenly cannot find this forum, this is the reason why,
The Academy
A subforum with topic creation restrictions. This will be developed over time but plans to act much like the Smash Lab did during the Brawl era. Character data and other objective information are designed to be "enshrined" there, so as they stay relevant and can be easily sought out.
If you are interested in data collecting or have a large collection of some sort already, please contact @Thinkaman
or @Aerodrome. You may start such threads in the regular board and have them approved if you think they fit into that notion.
