Why do so many people overreact on Smashboards? It's like a war to see who's more tense. Generally being the more laid-back person, I don't attempt to offend anyone (minus joking), but people always seem to take it far too seriously. A simple question, sending a message the wrong way... Honestly, what is WRONG with Smashboards? It also seems like the cooler you are to everyone else, the more of an elitist jerk you have to be to everyone (minus Xiivi). I really don't get it? Why so tense? Why must everyone overreact?

It depends on where you go, really. If you go to a place like the Kirby or MK boards and say something err...not so smart, then yeah. People are going to jump on you. A place like the Pikachu boards or something would be helpful to said person though. Smashboards ain't that bad, it's just a small amount of the members like to be ****s.

It's the internet. Don't take it so personally.

No, it wasn't. Thrilla's still awesome and a good friend. He didn't overreact.

But yeah, some members show so much elitism. You can just watch it. And many are hypocrites. Like some of the '08ers who were discriminated discriminate against '09ers, etc. It's like how in high school, Seniors MUST hate the Freshies, no matter what.

So do I...enjoy watching people get worked up over the silliest of things is prime entertainment.


Also remember what may seem serious to you may not be to the person who made the post/whatever that you are taking so seriously. That was confusing....

People must overreact because a bit of text they don't find necessary yet chose to respond to anyway is some serious business. The bigger the topical forum, the more prevalent it is. SRK reactionary armchair warriors eat SWF's reactionaries up and clean their teeth with them. Some guy once yearned for the older days where (paraphrase) new members learned to lurk and watch what they said or get hardbodied for it, just like in high school.
