Can someone please remind me, didn't they state that if you play the demo each day until release you get something special in return? Or am I getting it mixed up with the demo changing the first 7 or so times you play it?

No, you're not getting it mixed up. After playing the demo 10 times in a row you won't get anymore immediate changes/gifts, but it's currently unknown what the special scenario is if you play every day, since they said you need to play it every day until Nov 21.

I noticed through each run, only the Pokemon you caught stays the same. The starters you received all frequently change natures, characteristics, etc. upon restarting. It was most notable as when I received Grovyle, I marked him, but after restarting his mark was gone.

I was fortunate to get a download code for the demo, and as such, I've been looking at the stats for the new mega evolutions. Apparently, it seems that the IVs for the fully evolved starters are set at 20, and as such, I was able to get an estimate on the base stats for Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert.

Mega Sceptile
HP: 70
Attack: 110 (+25)
Defense: 75 (+10)
SP ATK: 145 (+40)
SP DEF: 85 (0)
Speed: 145 (+25)

Mega Swampert
HP: 100
Attack: 150 (+40)
Defense: 110 (+20)
SP ATK: 95 (+10)
SP DEF: 110 (+20)
Speed: 70 (+10)

Mega Glalie, on the other hand, has been harder, since its IVs are not set in stone. Still, I think I've gotten Mega Glalie's base stats.

As nice as it is that you did the math, the base stats for every mega in the game (including the ones not available in the demo) have long been known.

It looks like somebody put a massive ORAS move tutor list on pastebin (pastebin.com/zwG6puPT). I'm pretty sure it's legit though I don't know much about the tutors that actually teach all those moves.

Not sure if this is true, but according to GamesTM magazine writer Dom Peppiatt who got an early copy for reviewing, Battle Frontier is not in OR/AS.

Tbh, Battle Frontier wasn't something I particularly cared about too much. The implementation in HGSS where you had to have large amounts of BP to reobtain certain TMs was enough to last a lifetime.

That said, I am going to really miss that little girl that told you how your Pokemon preferred to battle in the Battle Palace that was taken out of every other instance of the battle frontier

I expected Battle Frontier not to return. In fact, I am expecting for a Delta Emerald version since Emerald was already different enough from Ruby and Sapphire in many ways. That way, they can still add the Battle Frontier as well as stick closer to Emerald's plot.

TBH I was never really hyped for ORAS other than the new megas. I was always of the opinion I wanted something new instead of an RS remake. Now that I've seen that lots of content has been stripped from the games just to be replaced by a hunt for past-gen legendaries... I might skip and get those new Megas when Z comes around.

I picked up my copy of Omega Ruby last night. I haven't gotten too far due to a combination of class and Smash 4 getting in the way but from what I've played this is the glorious remake I have been waiting for.

I am kinda disappointed that there is no Battle Frontier in OR/AS so far.

There might be an update considering what people are saying about the end-game or there might just be a Delta Emerald. I am not completely sold on them if there is a 3rd game in the works.

I get the feeling it was just a translation mistake, they let you send one item from the demo to the game everyday so i think you get whatever it is if you manage to get all the items, but I have no clue just conjecture

I'm a huge fan of Pokemon, but Kalos wasn't as interesting to me as past regions or games. I loved all the first 5 gens though, and do like X, but it just... I dunno maybe the heavier reliance on using the impressive visuals and less... regional flavor? Again I dunno. I like it, don't get me wrong, been a Pokemon an since 2000.

So yeah I'll probably enjoy ORAS postgame :3

Playing it 10+ days in a row unlocks new missions. Such as one where you receive a Nugget, or one where you reface the Admins.

That's not even it though... I have nothing against France-styled locales as I loved Palm Brinks in Dark Cloud 2...

I just think Kalos was lacking some of the atmosphere that really gives the others that Pokemon feel.
