Isai entered a Melee tournament on Sunday.
He lost to HugS and Scar and got 17th place.
Videos will be up in time, supposedly.

I will attempt to shed some light on the popularity of teams.

Basically, teams is a more dynamic game. In a 1v1 match, things tend to unfold in very predictable ways. Take Marth vs Falco. If it's on FD, Marth will attempt to chain grab. If it's on say YS, Marth will attempt to use platforms for combos/tippers. Falco will have the same basic very aggressive game plan involving laser approach and pillars. Take Peach vs Fox...again we know what's going to happen. Peach is going to use standard chain grab/float cancel/turnip approaches. Fox will try to chain shines and spam upthrow combos.

Teams, on the other hand, tends to unfold in far less predictable ways. With twice the characters on the screen, there are more than twice as many options. This is where the increased dynamism comes into play. To top it off, while teams may be slightly less requiring of a high degree of technical skill (this is an attraction to some players as well) it is far, far more mentally challenging than 1v1.

I'm Marth and I hit Falco off the stage but he's close enough that he has options? Well I guess I should jump out to him. Pretty cut and dry. Now say the same scenario happens in teams. My most beneficial move for the team is far less straightforward. Do I jump out? Maybe, but will his partner come save him? Does my own partner need my help? All of this must be considered.

I hope this helps you understand the allure of teams Tyser, I enjoyed writing this short article :p

1v1 Part - If it's predictable, don't get hit. It's your own fault if you can't avoid an obvious attack. This is where you should camp or wait, something the vast majority of players don't understand. As for the examples, it just sounds like you're telling me what the best options are in certain matchups and in certain stages. Just because Marth is gonna want grabs, Falco is gonna shoot lasers and Peach is gonna float doesn't make something predictable. That's just how those characters are built and that's common sense. The main deal you seem to have with 1v1 is predictability and in all honesty, it's really not that predictable. As I said earlier, camp or wait, it's the smart thing to do. Nobody knows how to do this for some reason. It shuts down predictable slandering in the blink of an eye. Saying 1v1 isn't as dynamic because it's "too predictable" is laughable, but that's just me.

2v2 Part - I totally agree that it's less predictable. Another word for less predictable is random. I don't like random things hitting me and I don't like pulling off random miracles. It makes it feel like there isn't much skill necessary to win. And that mentally challenging thing I can somewhat agree with because I'll tell ya, random shit happens all day and it causes rage to build up. Nobody likes rage.

Thanks for the explanation though. It has solidified the fact that I hate teams and the reasons that I think it sucks. But to each their own.

lol.

Teams and singles are two different things.

Teams is very random, but that makes it more difficult IMO. You should probably focus just as hard in singles as doubles it just doesn't happen. Like Mo said earlier, twice as many characters. I don't necessarily think doubles is harder but i feel you have to focus on the WHOLE aspect of the stage and all four characters.

Singles- i'm not revealing secrets!

Homunculi from FMA would get pummeled by Aizen in Bleach.
Aizen can move faster than the speed of sound, he has stupid powers that are broken and he's just overall rigged as shit dicks.
Homunculi are too human to even stand a chance against him.
Just because they can't defeat Aizen doesn't mean FMA isn't as good as Bleach though.
It's easily better than Bleach because Bleach is total garbage.

SPOILERS!

Naruto: Naruto wakes up and goes towards Kakashi's location. Sakura ended up knocking out everyone somehow. The chapter doesn't show a battle or anything, they're just out. She goes to where Sasuke is. Madara takes Danzou's body and tells Sasuke to kill Karin since she's still slightly alive. Danzou crushed Shisui's eye so it's now useless, at least that's what the spoiler says. Sasuke tells Madara that he isn't his comrade so he isn't gonna listen to Madara. Madara leaves. Sasuke is about to kill Karin for good as he chages up a Chidori. She gets a flashback. Turns out that Karin used to be a Konoha shinobi. It shows her in the Chunnin Exam forest where they're getting the Earth and Heaven scrolls. Her entire squad gets killed and then she gets attacked by a bear. Sasuke saves her and takes her scroll. She remembers him saying something kind to her and then he says good bye. Flashback ends. Sasuke says good bye, just like before and is about ransack her with Chidori. Suddenly Sakura appears and says that she is also running away from Konoha and wants to ally with Sasuke. End.

Bleach: Hitsugaya and Aizen exchange words as Aizen is impaled. Aizen taunts Hitsugaya into using his Ice Prison thing. Aizen tells Hitsugaya that he is a fool and then everyone finds out that what Hitsugaya really stabbed was Hinamori. The ice shatters and Hitsugaya is in total shock (Might not be a true spoiler). Soi Fon and Shunsui try to get Aizen but fail and get slaughtered without the slightest effort. Ichigo and Unohana are shown at the end, looking up at the sky where two dark figures spawn from a black hole (Garganta). End.

One Piece: Not out yet.

The original anime was amazing, and there was hardly any filler of any kind. You should probably go watch it so u have a clue what your talking about. It ***** brotherhood so far.

But yea, as epic as homonculi are they're pretty much normal people that regenerate at an absurd speed. They'd get pooped by bleach cast.

lol by your answer tyser i realize you aren't as nerd as I
Homonculus/Father/the little man in the jar is one being not a homunculi but he is Homonculus

brotherhood follows the original manga and like tyser said is far better than the original

the 2003 anime strays off the path in the first episode :(

also tyser i need to borrow that anime you kept talking about, the digging one
i'll watch it as long as it remains true to the manga (otherwise i'll just read the manga)

I've watched the original anime and I'm watching brotherhood, which is prettymuch the manga, and I'm comparing the two. If ur gonna base your opinion off of what you've "heard" there's no point in reasoning with you, go watch the original before you decide its bad.

Same with Hellsing, seems like 3/4 of the people who say the OVAs are better never watched the original :ohwell:, I've watched both and I like the original more.

Um, yea. Animes don't have to follow the manga word for word -.-

Tengun Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Yulai has it, not me.
This is possibly the best anime of all time.

Animes don't have to follow the manga word for word -.-
But they should otherwise they're being ********.
Which is why there is so much ******** anime in the world.

It's all opinions and you like them because you saw it first like people who started playing brawl first. it's good in its own right but how well the story is written is 100% beyond randomly being connected to the real world and alchemy is physics.

after reading that it sounds like I'm bashing your opinion by stating my own don't worry about it bra, mine is no more correct then yours.

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.
From what I hear, FMA:B is yonder better than FMA.

Yes, the story is significantly better. The first series got wayyy to random near the end and you could tell they were basically making it up on the spot. The second series actually goes deeper to explain what is going on.
People also said Hellsing Ultimate was better than Hellsing and omfg they were wrong

...unless you like listening to germans giving 2 hour long speeches about how they like killing people
What the fuck are you talking about. The OVAs are soooo much better.
The series basically had no backstory for anyone because it wasn't based off the manga, and it had ridiculous plot holes as well as the actual antagonist of the story being awful. Also the animation was terrible compared to the OVAs.
The speeches aren't nearly that long and they actually serve a purpose.

Hellsing OVAs are better than the Hellsing series.
It's a fact of life.
Tyser clearly knows what he is talking about.
