Olimar's Dash Attack Canceling

Have you guys performed a DAC with Olimar? I have, but it's not very useful if you want to attack. (Just run then u-smash). I've found a better use for this- desyncing.

Once your opponent attack you while you're charging, you can release the Pikmin to have a charged hit instead of just a quick smash one.

& go easy on me, I'm a nub who cant even perfect shield yet

Performing USmash and FSmash is easy if it's only the pikmin getting hit. However, if it's of olimar getting hit, i may want the video. And if it's a DSmash i definitely do xD

You're not really the first to notice this, but I guess it's a nice find since you've never even been here before.

Anyway, I don't dacus or dacpg because it's pretty useless, excluding the desynching. I wouldn't ever purposely desynch in a match, though. It's just nice to know what Olimar can do.

I was just saying that the DAC could come in handy, and that I have a video of the DAC, but not the actual video.
I'd have to have someone over Wi-Fi to help me if you want a video of him desyncing.

yeah, videos of him DeSyncing we actually already have. As for using the DACUS, i think fino is the only person that ever uses it xD

it's not too useful. A Hyphen Smash (just USmashing durring a dash) is about as effective. But I could be wrong.

DACUS goes further if done perfectly, but I haven't gotten around to perfecting it with Olimar.

A waste of time, sure. I'm sure it could be useful at some point, though. I mean I'm sure you can miss an up smash kill by a few frames and a few inches.

While Dash Attack Canceled whatever is pretty much useless for Olimar, Dash Attack itself is not. Not many people use it, from what I've seen, but I think people need to be using it a little more. I has multiple hits (2, I think) and sends people into the air to get Up Air'd or Up Special'd. It's also very unexpected since many people don't even know what Olimar's dash attack looks like, lol. Dash Attack and FAir -> Up Special are the two least used attacks ever.

It's not completely useless, since it actually does something that could help you in a match, but I would say it's a waste of time because it would be stupid putting time and messing up to perfect it. Also, I do use Olimar's dash attack on occasion, but since it is ridiculously easy to sheild grab, I wouldn't use it while they're able to punish. It's always safer to use Olimar's range advantage, anyway.

DAC isn't that difficult to learn. No moreso than wavedashing. It helps sometimes, too. Olimar can use it to deliver a charged usmash the moment you stop, resulting in some early kills.

It's just there's a bigger chance of missing it than a hyphen smash, so why bother?

I mean, I use it now, but it's not like it's that useful. I like the boost, but...
