thsnks for the advice/threads, im entering my first in person brawl tournament today and am only worried about losing to a snake, i can fight mks relatively easy but not snake, maybe there will be some videos if someone puts them up but thanks, i actually learned alot

If you read this before the tourney, here it is:

Grenade and mortar happy: camp them back and punish the mortar.

Offensive: grabs and fsmashes

Defensive, latches and grabs

Good luck m8. If you can handle MK you can handle Snake.

If you're spamming pikmin, make sure you're on the ground and not SHing them. This way, it's much easier to grab the mortar slide. SH your pikmin throw against everyone else though. (maybe not against sonic)

Well this is wat i have done. When knock snake out of the stage at the bottom. He comes up with his recovery. I just spiked him just to die or i use up B to get him but they some times air dodge or if they're closer to you then just Fsmash

well , i didnt lose to a snake or mk but a close match with a game and watch, and a chain grabbing to dair spike then edgegaurd falco with people screeming everywhere

This one is usually in olis favor

I cant really find a way around this match up other than tilt walk lol

no its not if they can chain grab you to edgegaurd spike consistently

snake cant chain grab.....He can tech chase for more throws but not chain grab

And its pretty hard to spike with snake, especially against olimar 0_o

His fair is slow enough for oli to hit him to 2 times before its done

Oh and for campy snakes camp back with oli's side b to make him approach and then grab him out of his predictable approach, like a running dash attack or mortar slide.

If he's walking its usually just a ftilt or utilt.

If you are against Snake, you should play Olimar.
If you are against MK, you should play Snake.
If you are against Falco, you should definitely play Snake.

Yeah, Snake's F-Air has spiking capabilities, the move has slow start-up.

You shouldn't be getting spiked if you know how to DI properly. Don't jump immediately and DI away from his predictable spike.

Yeah, di towards the stage when hes about to spike you and you're usually ok. Its possible to avoid his grab all together if you know how to avoid it.

i get annoyed when i mess up and get chaingrabbed >_>

DI up and away, jump, and airdodge all at once and you should be able to get out no problem... i think

Or you could just upb>up immediately after you're thrown. And then you can ledgehop a dair to turn the tables. ^_^
