Precisely. Notice how when the stage changes there is a sound effect indicating the grabbing of a ledge, even though Olimar does not seem to. At that moment, the pikmin following him must have believed he actually did grab the ledge and moved to do the same; however, since he was not on the ledge, the game never told them he left it, hence they basically stay hanging on the ledge and invisible. I can't remember the specifics of how to get them back (besides dying) but you can see one of them (yellow) pop off when you get hit.it's a phenomena known as ghost pikmin. it most commonly happens on delfino and the cause of it is that the pikmin get stuck within the ledges of the stage.
Nah, it's not that simple unfortunately. I think someone got more information on it once, but it's not with the rest of the information in the Olimar boards. You could probably find the answer if you searched around a bit but I'm to tired at the moment *needs sleep*I always thought you just regrabbed the edge to get them back
