!Boom!
Smash Journeyman
Though we dont know the actual gameplay, we can probably infer some strategies when playing him.
-Spacing-As we all know, we cannot attack without these Pikmin. Depending on how long it takes to pluck 1 pikmin. If it takes a pretty long time, spacing will matter because fast characters like Sonic will quickly attack you, making you unable to pluck them. Also, you need to pluck pikmin fast so you will be ready to attack, recover with pikmin chain or throw the pikmin.
-Groundplay - Though i dont know enough about his aerial play, you should be staying on the ground most of the game considering the information we know. Love the ground. Have its babies. You need the ground to pluck those pikmin. You cant pluck in the air (if we could, that would be awesome!). We dont even know if we can pikmin throw or pikmin order in the air.
-The Pikmin - Know your pikmin, know their properties, know the trajectory of when you throw them. Use Pikmin order sometimes. Things we must know about these pikmin are HOW THEY DIE? How much HP can they take? What if they miss the target when they are thrown? What is the range of Pikmin order Can the Pikmin double jump when they are falling or trying to recover? Do they have certain speeds, fall speeds, etc? SO much more questions, but they will be answered eventually.
-Pikmin Management - You can only have 6 with you at a time? Dont use all of them at one with pikmin throw. You need a few for some smash/melee attacks. Know the pikmin you are throwing and how much you are throwing. One question needed to be answered is does a pikmin die when used as a smash attack?
-Pick your army/Know your opponent - So you just launched your opponent away and they are about to come floating back. What do you do? Pick your army of course, but know your opponent. Say your opponent is a floaty character who has high damage at the moment and has bad recovery. Take out your purples, maybe the blues, whites even. Take your choice. Use strategy. Just throw away the ones you dont want off the stage. Dont worry, their sacrifice will be well worth it.
More strategies to come.
