Awesome. Need to set up the barrel throwing animation, though!

its was... meh. but only one move isnt much of a "complete" PSA. keep working.

The megaman thread was started when someone had just started working on the model. No screen shots. Then ensuing nine pages were just people debating which of the 120+ video games had the best iteration of megaman. That being said, I am completely for the megaman thread.

I think Donkey Kong's Up B should be changed to him being launched out of a barrel. Functioning similarly to Sonic's Up B. (I don't recall Donkey Kong ever spinning in any video game other than smash brothers...)

The other change I proposed was changing Donkey Kong's running A to a rolling attack. This is such a minor change I don't even know why I'm promoting it. Something about Donkey Kong kicking really bothers me. (WTF is with that back aerial???)

I like the up B idea. But again, it would be a pain making it. I need my SD reader fixed ;-;

The Megaman thread was a project with a list of goals and the ostensible promise that it would come to be something more than Samus with a Megabuster.

I'd have no problem with this thread if you didn't also post it in the PSA submissions topic.

For the sake of contributing something, do you have a printer? If your printer has an SD reader you can also use that instead.

What do you mean? I have an SD card to USB converter, but my Wii would pick it up as a USB. But maybe you mean something else? If you did could you explain? Thanks

I'm going to ask in this thread because I couldn't find anywhere else to ask - is it possible yet to give custom models to characters yet? Last time I was really active here, you could change the size of body parts (hence Baby Mario), and textures, but changing actual polygons and moves was a pain in the ***.

I ask because I think a "retro Donkey Kong" character would be twice as awesome if he had his SSB64 model, but a few months ago it was pretty much impossible to do anything with characters - Baby Mario still had a FLUDD, "Geno" was still basically Took Link and "Mewtwo" was just a White Lucario.

This is amazing! now I have my hopes high for a Bomberman PSA and a paper Mario PSA. I wish I could try this, but I don't have GeckoOS. What else did you wantn to try?

I'd make a version by holding down during the animation or something so that it rolls instead of being thrown, but I have a feeling that you tried that originally but ran into some problems and thus couldn't complete it. I should look into item generation more...


Still, this is probably the most fun I've had with a hack in a long time, haha.

you should change out the animation to be his actual barrel throw animation (when he picks up and throws barrels in-game). it would look more legit.

or make him throw it over head like in Donkey Kong Country. that would be so broken lol super fast travelling barrels?
