Hey everyone!

I'm pretty hyped about the new Smash game, man! I just hope they don't put back the release date again. Yet, I do have some questions that I'd like others' opinions on.
What asbout the old new characters (Falco, Ganny and Y.Link, etc.)? I know that they have simillar moves to other characters, but they're awesome characters and I think they should be kept! A new moveset, perhaps? Or, do most people think that getting rid of all of those characters would be a good idea?

I'm bored, and I'm sure that most of you guys have seen a thread like this before but I never really got many other people's opinions on it before. Feel free to spill yourheart out =P

im pretty sure they whouldent take ganon away... and maybe the doc (doctor mario) might be a costume to mario?... and falco might have a different moveset as well...or might be changed to krystal instead :s... ah well.... thats just my opinion....

As long as they don't get rid of Y. Link or Ganny, I'm good. (:

I also hate the fact that it shows Ganny with this big ol' sword and you can't even use it! They should definitely let him use it in brawl =D

I'd prefer they drop Doc (give him as an alt costume to Mario) and Pichu (Not because he sucked but because he was a bad idea to start)

Roy, Ganon, YLink, Falco... I really don't have a problem with them returning with fresh movesets.

If anyone should go, it'd probably be Doc. Pichu could be updated, I guess. It'd be a stretch. But for sure, Roy can be updated!

Young Link... actually, since TP has come out, they could have TP Link and Wind Waker Link.

If marth does return, than Roy should as well. I personally really like Roy, he is not a clone to me, He is just another side of the mirror so to say as marth.
As for people who shouldn't really come back, if that was the case, then take out Pichu, Doc, and young link. To me those are the real clones who really don't have to be in.

Roy was an advertisement for Fire Emblem, just like Ike is this time.
Pichu was an awful joke.
Dr. Mario was a rushed clone and ad for the one of the last N64 games
G-Dorf was a rush job since he's clone from a completely unrelated character.
Falco is a pretty poor clone too that deserved his own moves and weaponry.
And Young Link could have been decent if they gave him much different tools. Wind Waker Link could change that, but I cant say I would care for either of them

Even though they didn't remove a single character in Melee, it's different this time. A few of them simply need to go. Pichu was just rubbish, Roy wasn't useful as there was Marth, nobody played Mr. Game & Watch and there was too much Mario in Dr. Mario. These four should be cut out. Ganondorf should stay for obvious reasons. A lot of people were playing as Falco, so he can stay as well. I think Mewtwo was a nice addition in Melee and I'm expecting him to be in Brawl too. Ness has been in since the beginning, but now that we have a character from Mother 3, I'm not sure what will happen to Ness. I hope he'll be in after all. Jigglypuff is already confirmed, which pisses me of.

Falco, Ganon, and Roy (or a character with a similar moveset) should return, just with slightly new movesets. (Falco needs to keep gun and reflector, and Ganon should keep warlock punch, but all other moves need to be replaced with sword moves)

Wow your mind is fixed on already existing topics. Try to think of a more original topic. As for my answer, I would say young link, pichu, doc, should go. Ganon and falco should get a new moveset. Roy is one of my SSBM mains but he's still just a clone of marth. I can see him going.

Yeah...There's an identical topic stickeyed in the characters section.

Anyway, I think everyone should return except the filler characters (Dr. Mario, Pichu, Roy, Young Link, and Falco) and distance Ganondorf more from Captain Falcon. :/ :\

I think that all previous characters will return, except for the copies, and if the copies do return, they will return with a new moveset.

.... Anyway. I personally think that Ness should be an alt costume for Lucas. I mean, they're basically the same. I love Roy, but well, you know. Dr. Mario for alt costume and Pichu for Pokeball/Background pokemon. Mewtwo, Ganon, Falcon, and Luigi ish the awesome. Ganon deserves a non-clone moveset. I-don't-really-know on G&W. Falco would be nice too.... Same with Marth.
Annnnnnnd it's obvious I like Jiggly. :D

And drop Falco for his moveset limitations. Although Falco is more popular, Krystal is more important to the series and is pretty popular amongst furries. Not to mention a unique moveset. (I'm no furry)

I don't think Ness and Lucas re gonna be the same. Sure they look the same and stuff but Lucas is definitely gonna have a different moveset, in my opinion at least.

And sorry for making this thread, cause there is one stickied. I jsut got really bored =P

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Doctor Mario, who is practically Mario with a doctor's outfit on, should be a different character than Mario and have an original moveset, while Falco, a popular (and completely different from Fox) character, should be an Alt Costume. Falco could easily have a new moveset. Captain Falcon has never been out of a vehicle in his games, yet Sakurai made him an original moveset and did a really good job. But Falco, on the other hand, was out of a vehicle in Assault, with tons of new weapons and gadgets. Even if Sakurai lost all of his creativeness, he still has that to fall back on. And second, you think Krystal is more important to the series than Falco? Are you on drugs? Falco has been there since the beginning, while Krystal just joined in Adventures. What important thing has she even done besides become Fox's love interest? I want Krystal in, but what you're saying is blasphemy. Falco doesn't have to be out for Krystal to be in. If you can come up with an argument to counter that, I applaud you.

MAN! Krystal would be fun as rocks if she was in the game. Do you think they'd let her use the staff? considering it was her's to begin with... xD
