HOW TO DO MISMATCHED BTT's AND BTP'S!

  • First open up ur pj64k (Duh)
  • 2nd go to you eather board the platforms or break the targets
  • When u are at the choose ur character screen go to the cheats menu in project64
  • When ur there double click on "Bonus stage character mod..."
  • Choose who u want to be
  • Now on the choose ur character official screen just select the character's stage u want (Ex. I choose link cuss i want his stage)

Its that simple. But im pretty sure u have to activate the cheats when ur only at the character selection screen...Not before. Idk

After seeing all these results im starting to think all of them are possable. But mostly it was the tornados that help get the hard spots. So...I'l keep testing. Plz dont offer to help or tell me whats possable. Im enjoying this XP

So now let's do some BtT and BtP records with mismatched characters! Start by doing Ness's BtP with Link please.

What do you mean.

Of course I can use gameshark codes with Mupen. I just don't want to do mismatched bonus stages yet.

Link On Samus 0'13''51

Apologies for having to actually go on Paint and write it in white lettering so you can see. I'm too lazy to try and fix my comp so that it allows something other than Jabo's, and the regular plugin patch doesn't fix lettering. If you look closely you can tell I didn't cheat.

I love Link's boomerang. You can take out so many targets if you manipulate it correctly :chuckle:

Another, this time Ness on CF, I didn't have to use paint b/c the black letters are against lighter blue. 0'26''91 , this one isn't difficult but it feels like you should be able to do more. I did up-B on about 70% of all the targets.

That reminds me, I was looking into Level9 AI and hit lag.

I changed the address which deals with 'lag after you are hit' and changed it so the CPU has no lag. HAS hitback, just can react at any point.

The CPU behaves very differently and is MUCH harder.. The Jigglypuff even uses rest. it's very strange.

I made a video vs Level9 Jigglypuff but I wont upload it because I got destroyed. Rested twice. x___x

That's really cool, I've always been interested in how the AI worked. I can do remarkably well against AI, not because I can combo them every time, but because I almost always know their choice of attacks because I've played them too many times. AI are mindless and fall for "feint" approaches every time.

It rested you twice? Wait does that mean that it rested you in a combo or that it rested outside of a combo with weird accuracy?

More on topic, I think Link is the most nerv-racking to do Btt's with. The number of combinations and order of combinations for how to hit targets quickly using the boomerang are nearly endless. Try using him on Pikachu's :psycho: ...And I still can't figure out how to hit the walls or air and then move so that the boomerange will hit the two "isolated" targets on Jigglypuff's.

Its normally the top one on the list of ones that are already there (it says "training" on it, but that's a LIE... RAWR). And moogle I'm going to try luigi's btt with pika now O.o :D

Pikachu on Luigi BtT

1. Double jump to the right, and down-B the upper-right-most target, landing on the yellow/black striped thing.
2. Walk the right just a little bit, and shoot a jolt at the target to your lower-right, making sure the jolt doesn't touch any walls... it should go diagonally down into the target.
3,4,5. Run left and jump off the yellow/black thing, and down-B the three targets arranged vertically in the center of the stage.
6,7. Double jump over the wall thing to your left, and down-B those two upper-left targets, making sure you land on the tetris-block thing on the lower left. (Might help to fastfall before this down-B.)
8. Run off the left side of the tetris block and forward-air target 8. Start holding right.
9. You're now falling underneath the tetris block. Midair jump onto the left-right-moving platform at the bottom of the stage. Run off the right side of it, then jump and forward-air target 9.
10. Immediately after your forward-air finishes, do an up-air to hit target 10.

Hardest step is probably 6-7... or maybe 2.

I have at least 2 other strategies for Pika on Luigi that got me 11"something. :embarrass

What version of PJ64k are you using?!

My cheat list has waaaay less than that, I need codes from a little .txt file I have in order to do music modifiers, "hit everything", infinite jumps, etc.

Maybe if you scroll down you'll find a "character modifier" one. The character modifier ones allow you to choose a character that will automatically override your character choice on the ... well... character menu. What we're doing is using the cheats that automatically come with the PJ64 application-- we choose character X as a cheat, but choose stage Y when in-game, so we get character X on stage Y.

Otherwise go search for it on google, i'm sure a series of codes for character modifiers will show up, its often used as an "example" on how to use gameshark codes.
