Looking for Ganon.

Marth Complete Classic Mode using Ike

Jigglypuff Complete Classic Mode with any character other than Ike or Complete Event Match 20

Captain Falcon Beat Classic in 20 minutes or less then defeat him in the following match

Sonic Complete the Subspace Emissary

Luigi Complete Classic Mode on Easy

Snake Play 10 matches on Shadow Moses Island.

Lucario Defeat in SSE with Meta Knight or Complete 5 Target Tests with any character

Ness Play five matches OR Reflect ten projecticles OR meet Ness in SSE.

Falco Beat 100-man brawl or play 300 v.s. matches

Toon Link Finish the classic mode as Ganondorf

Mr. Game & Watch Beat classic mode with every character

Selecting Zero Suit Samus
To use Zero Suit Samus at the start of a match, select Samus on the character screen and hold the following button before the match starts with the corresponding controller that is being used:

Gamecube/Classic controller: Hold the R button
Wii Remote with Nunchuk: Hold the Z button
Wii Remote: Hold the Minus (-) button

Those are not cheats.... it's called "unlockables."

To unlock jiggly you need to " Complete Classic Mode with any character other than Ike or Complete Event Match 20" I have completed Classic Mode with 4 characters that were not Ike, as well as completing Event Match 20. Still no luck with getting Jiggly, anyone else going through this? (Possibly it needs to be on a hard mode setting? I just left it at normal.)

That method to unlock Lucario seems very wrong. He shouldnt be that hard.

Anyone know if you can unlock characters by playing vs matches like you could in Melee?

Yes, you still can. Ness can be unlocked with 5 vs. matches and Marth with 15.

You unlock him in SSE as far as i know. Same with Wolf.

I dunno, you could use MY unlock thread instead, but some are just from gamefaqs, so parts may not be right...
