Hello and Welcome to the
.::OFFICIAL BRAWL INFO CONTEST THREAD::.
The object of the game is simple: Guess what bit of information Sakurai will post on the Smash Dojo website next! Think you can guess the next update?​

.::Rules::.​

You may only make a guess ONCE per day. Changing your guess after the update has been posted is not allowed. However, you are able to change you guess before the update is released.
If you guess correctly then you will win points. If you guess incorrectly, then no points for you! (The Smash DOJO updates at about 3 AM EST, so guessing would end then).

Your post should basically look like this:

Remember, you can guess in any one of the categories on the Smash Dojo site, not just Music. The categories are:

.::Scoring::.
You may only guess in one category. For example, don't say "It could be _____ or ______".
For a correct guess you will be awarded either 1 or 2 points. Let's use the previous Sample Post as an example.
Say you guessed "Music Update: Metroid Music" as the next days update. If the next update were in the Music Category, you would win 1 point for guessing the correct category. If the next day's update was Music Update with Metroid music, as you guessed, you would get 2 points.
In the event of a double update, your two highest scores will count. For example, a double character update and one character guess would give you 2 points (1+1). Triple posts will be handled in the same manner. In this way, during a triple or double post, the highest possible score would be 4 points, from correctly both updates exactly.
It's not too hard, right? The scores will be tallied in this way after each new update.

Q: How do I join?
A: You can join the contest at any time, just make a post!

Q: What do Final Smashes (BACON's) count as?
A: They count in the "Characters" category. If you are ever confused about what category a guess falls under, you can check the SMASH DOJO website to see.

Q: What if I don't get a point(s) that I won?
A: I'll do my best to update the standings as accurately as possible. That being said, I'm not perfect, and so I may miss a point here or there. You will be able to see if I've updated yet by checking the bottom of this post where it says "the last update was...". If that hasn't been changed to match the last update then the scores have yet to be tallied, so please be patient. If the scores have been tallied and you still are missing points just send me a PM or post about it in your next guess and it will be fixed.

Q: If I guess a Metroid stage and the post is Metroid music, do I still get a point?
A: Sorry, no. Scores are counted using the category first, then specifics. You must correctly guess music first to get any points.

Q: How specific do I need to be?
A: A general rule of thumb is to be as specific as possible. Guessing "a veteran character" is too vague. A franchise (Metroid, Zelda) is required, at the least. However guessing a "pokeball pokemon" is specific enough, as there are 400 different types of pokemon to choose from. Likewise, an "assist trophy" guess is accurate enough. If you think your guess might be too vague, then make it more specific. The more specific the guess the better.

Now, so can I. I spent last night reading 25 pages of the old thread and tallying the scores.
I'm going to be updating this thread as often as I possibly can. Yay new management!
