Watch that. At least the last kill, possibly the first, comes from Ike Fsmashing a shielded Wario. Did he drop his shield at the last second, or did Fsmash go THROUGH it?

Ike may be more of a beast than previously thought...

It was most likely an unlucky case of Wario dropping his shield just in time. Although the possibility of shield stabbing does exist, which is now a confirmed technique of being able to target and hit exposed parts of your opponent even while their shield is up.

Hmmm... This could lead to abusing the Havoc engine and it's improved hitbox detection...
It appears that if someone's head is outside their shield, and the fsmash lands, they're gonna die...

Shield tilting, anyone?

how would this lead to abuse of the havoc engine
shield stabbing has always been in the game
shield speed deteriorates slower in this game than in melee
not a big deal

This game pays alot more attention to holes in your shield...for example if you're getting dtilted by Ness and your shield is continually dropping you will eventually start getting hit because the shield will stop covering your feet...so my assumption is, since his shield was sorta low he just got hit in a vulnerable area where his shield wasn't covering...or her just let hit shield go at the last second lol who knows.

Namely, even a minimal shield protected you from overhead blows in Melee, cuz the detection wasn't so hot.

But now, if your head is exposed, it seems that it will hit you.
Not an abuse, more of an interesting side effect of the new game engine.

Did you miss the **** that was Peach's dsmash? That was the reason why it ***** so much. It DID go through your shields. It hit the bottom.

This has always existed in the game.

But, yes, I know about hitting under shields, but this goes over the top, too.
I'm pointing out the improved hit detection from the Havoc engine has made it possible with ike to hit a shield, and still hit the person too, due to the massive shield damage it does.

only if your attack has multiple hitboxes

if your hitbox encounters a shield, it does damage to the shield and not the person

Away from you.
IMO Ike's -smash seems to surpass that of even Batman's(Ganondorf's) F-smash Godly!!
But the the whole going through shields thing...
Wario must have dropped the shield before the attack hit.
****, it was sooo close I'm actually starting think that Ike's F-smash pierced the shield.
If so truly Godly!

It looks like Wario either dropped his shield right before it, or his shield deteriorated and Ike hit him on the head where the shield didn't cover. Two times seems too often to just be coincidental, so I think Ike hit the exposed part of Wario.
