NY/NJ - Where do you stand on the MK-ban issue?

I've never seen an NY/NJ-specific poll on this topic. This is the best region and has the highest MK population, so I am curious where our residents stand. I would like to hear from EVERYONE that attends tournaments in NY/NJ. This is NOT to be a debate thread, or a campaign for either party. Simply, vote as one of the following:

A: Anti-ban
B: Pro-ban
C: Neutral

My vote: C: Neutral

I'm honestly favoring the pro-ban party, mainly because I believe the recent pro-ban arguments have been superior, but when it comes down to it, I won't lose sleep over what happens to this character, thus I consider myself neutral.

Not that anyone cares about anybody else's plain opinion but I'm neutral.

Anti ban for me. Put simply, MK dies. Snake and Wario do not obey this rule. He isn't nearly as good as people make him out to be imo(at least not broken). For anyone who mains a decent character, Mk isn't an issue. Don't main a decent character? Don't complain. I think IC's and Snake are better but I'm sure many disagree. MK has the ability to be gay(I don't need to go into detail) but there are ledge grab rules and under the stage gliding rules for that. I'd rather vs a bracket full of MK than one good Snake, Wario, IC's, or Rob

there shouldn't be a debate at all. He's super popular and that's why people want him gone. If MK was so broken I shouldn't have lost let alone gotten ***** by adhd at pound and had close set with ally when snake is by far my most practiced matchup and he looks slightly (SLIGHTLY) rusty in singles compared to before. Overswarm's entire recent argument is based on numbers which are based off POPULARITY which is stupid and not fair. The character is extremely overrated, especially if his gay stages were to be removed he wouldn't be as good as Diddy or even Falco on neutrals. This is my honest opinion.

this is just stupid. i dont see why ANYONE would be pro ban or netrual at this point, and agreed with what m2k said and kai...just wow at this point how are ppl still discussing this..

alot of ppl are pussys and want to ban mk because hes to popular and because they cant beat him reason being that they just john 24/7 insted of finding a way to beat him like ally and adhd have done.

honestly the ppl who are netrual probably realize that mk isnt as good as he is put out to be but it benifits there character imo.

its not that mk is broken...hes just really really REALLY easy to use....people that dont have much skill in the game are beating ppl that have more than twice as much skill....but doesnt really happen in higher level of play

however...hes not close to broken, just learn the matchup....def should not be banned

I agree with M2k and Kai you shouldn't ban MK. Then it's a domino effect on the rest of the characters, Snake, ICs, falco so on and so forth. I think we need to fix the ICS chain grab or as YES stated before the other gimmicks that come along with playing a character.

agreed with candy, on a very low level of play mk is better and takes less skill for beginners/scrubs but at a higher level higher skill wins

Yeah thats true, but anyone who sticks around for even a short time can get the hang of the matchup with their main. NJ has scrub MK's, but people with skill do better anyway so it all works out in the end

I'm kind of on the fence about this one. Logically, he shouldn't be banned, but he should according to just what I feel. Honestly, I don't really care, so I'm more neutral/leaning anti-ban.

Brinstar and BF are always my bans. I can't play well on either. I do fine on RC, I just used Sonic's Dair and thought the platform(that would cause landing lag) would spawn in on my UpB right after Dair, but it came earlier than I thought and lost despite a significant percentage lead. Oh well, my fault XD

Whats your point??? Allied asked when a MK beat a ranked player......I answered him, your length of time didn't matter much. You're entitled to your opinion of course and if you see the situation differently thats fine, but I'm a more skilled player and got beat by a MK as I said in my answer to Allied.

I disagree with this. I HATE, HATE, HATE the idea of banning/limiting strategies, despite how simplistic they might be. The matchups in the game are what they are, and they shouldn't be artificially manipulated.

MK doesn't technically render some characters that would otherwise be viable to be useless. The gimmicks I mentioned render some characters useless.
