Okay, I can understand tilt, since its not a term used in the manual but...seriously, come on now.
Smash means you press harder on the control stick + A for a stronger attack, can also be charged.
You might want to ask in the q&a thread before making new threads, btw.

Tilt(or strong attack) is when you lightly tap or hold the control stick in a direction, then press A.
A Smash attack is your characters main killing move, which they use to "SMASH" other characters off the screen. To do this, you push the control stick hard in a direction, then either press A for a weak version, or hold it down to charge and deal more damage and knockback.
