I'll save you the huge monologue I planned out for this thread and present you only with this:

Who is the More Better? Brawl Bi-Weekly Tournament Series, or WitMB?BBWTS for short.

Why? Glendale is the best place for Smash in Arizona.

Also please note: Because we are not sure about how these tournaments will turn out, for the first couple of weeks, we'll be in BETA and everything below is subject to change if need be. It won't change too drastically, though. The **** will be the same.

Location: STB House - 4504 W. Orangewood, Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301

Start Time: 1:00 PM
Registration: 12:00 - 12:50 PM. You must register before 12:50 AM to participate.

Tournament Starts at 1:00 PM!

Cost/Pot Distribution

Singles: $5.00 per entry. ($10.00 if you don't RSVP)
Doubles: $10.00 per team. ($20.00 if you don't RSVP) (!)
Venue/Maintenance Fee: $1.00 at the door and subject to change.

NO REFUNDS - eliminates the hate that will be drawn to us (me) if prize money is missing when prize distribution time comes.

(!) Doubles tourneys will be held every third bi-weekly. ie. every month and a half.

Singles: 60 - 30 - 10*
Doubles: 60 - 30 - 10*

*In the event that an OOSer wins, prize distribution will be 70 - 20 - 10

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gameplay Ruleset

- 3 stock.
- No items.
- 7 minute time limit.
- All matches will be best 2/3 in regular bracket play.
- Best 3/5 for winners/losers finals and grand finals.

- Double Blind picks are available for the first match
- First match of a set will be chosen at random from the random neutral stages.
- Each player may strike a stage from random.
- Loser may then counterpick a stage from the neutral or counterpick lists.
- Loser counterpicks a stage --> winner picks character --> loser picks character.
- Dave's Stupid Rule is on: You cannot counterpick a stage you've won on in that set.
- Dave's Stupid Rule Addendum: You can counterpick a stage you've lost on.
- No pausing during matches. (goopsaucing/goopalooping)

Neutral Stages

- Final Destination
- Battlefield
- Smashville
- Yoshi's Island
- Lylat Cruise

Counterpick Stages

- Frigate Orpheon
- Battleship Halberd
- Luigi's Mansion
- Jungle Japes

Misc.

- Do not physically hurt anybody; you will be asked to leave.
- No modified controllers (changing the settings through the game is ok).

Again, we are in BETA, so rules are subject to change. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask. We look forward to writing a new chapter in AZ Smash.

Thanks.

I'd like to participate in your brawl tourney every two weeks, G-mo. As of now though, I cannot get there.

In the short future, I'd like to find a way to get there.

I'll be returning to STB, knowing it's biweekly will give me enough time to get work off.

And actually... I'd be at the Atomic tourney tomorrow if I didn't have to work

You do know that Tucson is having a its first bi-weekly next week on the 28th right? Mixing tourney dates isnt a good way to get us to go up there >.>

Let me consult. I'll let Vat-Zero know this. But you guys better come if we're changing the date. Aren't your guys' tournies TRI weeklies, though?

It's not really an actual tourney though if I'm reading it right.

Just the beta testing
It's an actual tourney, it just has potential for change/growth.

yeah, so if you change the date once, it will be another 6 weeks before they interfere again.
