The developers suggest that “most” of the Mirages will be based on Shadow Dragon and Awakening characters.

Just most. Not all.

The chances of Our boy /Eliwood and Lyn are slowly decreasing everyday....

Wouldn't be surprised if there was an Ike mirage or something like that.

Thing is, I really don't care who bashes who. I think the idea that it's somehow offensive and insulting to say a character has no chance is completely idiotic, and I've told you that the last 80 times we've had this discussion.

My problem isn't that they're making fun of Daisy; it's that it's being done by fans of a character that I was chewed out for saying has no chance. I think it's complete and utter bull that they expect one character to be made off-limits just because she's their waifu, but another character can be openly mocked just because she's not popular in this thread. Especially when the character their mocking is far, far likelier to get into Smash than their the one they're overly protective over.

I think people should be allowed to say whatever the hell they want. I don't think negative opinions on characters should be silenced, especially not by people who actively try and shut up others for having a negative opinion that they disagree with.

It's not about Anna fans "acting superior". It's about hypocrisy. If you're gonna tell me to stop bashing Anna, then don't turn around and bash Daisy, even under the guise of a "joke".

Character fans are constantly putting down other character's chances as they believe it's a "competition". 'that character can't happen because then my character can't be in the game!' It's not, there's a middle ground in character choices. It's not all or none, it's about appeasing the most amount of people with the limited resources and time that game development has.

I saw some people say "lol Sakurai comparing Krystal to mooks" and that's the totally wrong attitude to have.

When people suggest characters I don't get the impression that Sakurai sees any character as inherently better than others. (except SpongeBob and Goku but they aren't Nintendo characters)

I think he looks at popular requests and goes through this process:

1. Looks to see if he can use them
2. Sees if they are popular enough, is the character too obscure?
3. If they have a moveset
4. Fill a niche
5. Favorable to development
6. If not 5 can they be made into a clone?
7. Are they relevant or retro? (ties into 4 somewhat)

They don't happen in that order per say and some parts occur at the same time. Takamaru probably passed all the requirements except 2 for example. Krystal in Brawl might have passed everything except 5 (and 6).

If you are going to say a character has a chance or no chance base it off logic. There's really no need to make character requests such an emotional thing.

Do you think they would ever get a second character, who would that character be and list them in how likely you think that character appearing some time in the future is.

(Punch Out!!)
(Duck Hunt)
(Gyromite/Stack Up)
(F-Zero)
(Animal Crossing)
(Pikmin)
(Wii Fit)
(Xenoblade)


For my opinion, in order of likeliness.

1. Likely for next game. Probably Isabelle.
2. Have pretty decent shots. I can see Alph getting promoted and a new Xenoblade protagonist getting in too.
3. If revived, near guaranteed. Goroh or Black Shadow please.
4. Possible, I suppose. King Hippo?
5. Professor Hector ain't happening anytime soon.
6. Literally no one left to add.

And on top of that, add rate your three most wanted Nintendo series.

Golden Sun (Unless we get a major revival, it will be just Isaac)
Chibi-Robo (Literally no one from this series aside from it's protagonist works)
Rhythm Heaven (I can only see one working as token representation.)

I'm taking issue with fans of that same character saying making fun of the fact that Daisy isn't playable.

I don't why it's so hard for you to see the issue with this. It's the same thing, only one was done "as a joke", and my post was said seriously. At the end of the day, they both send the same message regardless of the tone.
