Hey, Zelda's an iconic and important franchise, though I only agree on Ganon here as Zelda has a major flaw in terms of characters. Not a lot of significant and reoccuring characters. Vaati looks interesting but hasn't been around for quite a while, and Ghirahim sadly might have gotten the axe permanently

Mario was also mistreated on his 25th anniversary he only got a measly re-release of his old compilation game on the Wii.

Nintendo does major celebrations for its big franchises when they feel like it. Also if Nintendo did do something for Metroid's 25th anniversary, it would have mean majorly overshadowed by Zelda's, since Metroid is minuscule in terms of popularity when compared to Zelda.

Also seeing as Nintendo mistreated Mario's 25th anniversary, don't expect anything major for Pokemon's 20th anniversary next year.

I hated Mario's 25th anniversary. I didn't get the Wii version of the SNES game because I already have the SNES game. Mario's 30th anniversary is a big improvement with Super Mario Maker.

Yeah Ghirahim's probably never going to appear again.
Still hopeful for Midna though! A Twilight Princess HD remake would be a huge help.

I feel like Skull Kid could be really interesting. He could incorporate Majora's powers, his forest magic/blow darts, the Puppets from Twilight Princess, his fairy Tael, etc.
He could actually work pretty well as a summon character.

I saw Anna talk. We will never have enough FE representation until based RNG Goddess becomes playable. She's been playable in 2 games in a row so far too, being able to wield everything but tanks and axes

We already have enough.

Random shopkeeper/villager who's playable in two games that have a billion playable characters doesn't warrant a spot in Smash.

This is a fake for several reasons.

A: Young Link render is ripped from Hyrule Warriors official art for Young Link.
B: Wolf icon is a Brawl rip when no other icons I'm aware of are Brawl rips.
C: Rool appears to actually be a Kremling and lacks a crown. It's a rip of Kremling from Mario Sluggers.
D: The background shades are ripped from a wiki image. (Credit to Jayman7 of Gamefaqs for pointing this out.)
E: Subjectively, the stage decisions make little sense
F: Subjectively, 6 stages and 3 characters is even bigger than the E3 Update and seems highly unlikely.

However, it's NOT with the Rool Leak. A rusemaster on Gamefaqs by the name of Dumdumwantgum acts like it is, but nowhere in the original 4chan thread does this image pop up. Reminder that the name should probably be on a leak blacklist of people not to trust, for future reference.

I don't think it's a Brawl rip. I think it's the Smash 3 render's head.

Rool's looks more like a shrunken down Smashified head without the crown than that Kritter render.

Actually, every new character from an existing franchise has some sort of stage that accompanies them when you count both versions. Bowser Jr. may technically be an exception if we're talking really specific stage-rep, but we got several new Mario stages. Galaxy is clearly Rosalina's, we got Kalos, we got 2new FE and KI stages across both versions, we even got 2 animal crossing stages.

We don't have any DLC newcomers from existing franchises to base this off of.

It could go either way, honestly.

Yeah, it's more than most likely not the trophy, unless it's a heavily shopped version. There's quite a few differences. Namely, the one from the leak has a fatter tummy.

I think the leak is fake currently due to the nature of it (We've had a billion Direct leaks and they're all fake), but it's a pretty dang good one.

I'm probably getting an April 1st vibe from this. Not because of the many leaks that are happening, but the fact that most of them leaks are predicting a time time frame similar to the ones in March that said April 1st (even though those were fake). Then we actually got a direct on April 1st XD. So, if this turns out to be ironic and we actually get one on August 3rd, 2nd, or 1st, this will literary be my reaction:

I didn't even notice how horrible the cape looked until you pointed it out. That's like some PS2 quality crap right there.

But I wasn't trying to say it's fake because it's different than the trophy. I was just disproving that it WAS a picture of the trophy, since I heard it mentioned earlier.

Obviously, if he is DLC, he'll look different than the trophy. Both Mewtwo and Lucas did from theirs.

Go to page 484 and read on. It's only been going on for four pages, so there's not really that much to catch up with.

If you really need a summed up version that badly, though; more potato phone leaks. There was one that said Young Link, K. Rool, Wolf, and a bunch of past stages are coming soon. Then there was a second one that claimed to have screenshots of a Nintendo Direct planned for August 3rd announcing K. Rool.

The first one is pretty blatantly fake, but the second one's proving a bit harder to debunk.

Just by the quality of the render, the predictability of the leak, the fact that despite it being a "Nintendo Direct leak" it only reveals King K. Rool for Smash Bros., and the very FACT it's a Direct leak is why I am definitely siding fake.

Maybe those really are screens from the new Direct and he inserted the KKR stuff to **** with people.

"It's real because it's a new render that Omni didn't create" will be my absolute favorite justification for a leak when someone actually uses it unironically.

Have you SEEN her hips? I agree that Anna is DLC wouldn't be a smart choice. Smash 5 however is a different story
