I just beat Advance Wars. This level:

The Final Battle -
Is probably the hardest level in any game I've ever played.
I spent two straight days trying to beat this! Even with multiple strategy guides and the best possible team.

A good tactician I am not.

This mission is a reminder of why I don't like Andy - he is useless. His CO power is not worth using ever, and he's annoying.

On a similar note, the fact that beating most of the campaign with my favorite CO (Sami) forced me to have to play two extra missions as my least favorite COs (Andy, Eagle) is bull****.

But it's over now!! I can move on with my life!

You thought that was hard? You should try the game's advanced campaign, and especially go down the Eagle path again during it. You'll certainly love the Rivals! bonus mission on Advanced Campaign.

I just beat Advance Wars. This level:

The Final Battle -

I honestly found the mission above to be the most fun out of the final two missions in all three games, excluding Rivals since that isn't against the main bad guy (I don't like Rivals anyway). Oddly enough, I really like to use Andy and Eagle, though Andy mainly because of the introduction of Super Powers in AW2 and I like his theme, and Eagle because his ground is Andy except his air support is nice. Plus, neither have Max's artillery skills (or lack there of) nor Sami's weak armor.

You'd have to get past Kanbei's Error? on hard, and given the following video, well...

Also worth mentioning, in AW2 I beat the hard campaign, I'm currently doing hard campaign on Dual Strike, but I couldn't even get past mission 2 on hard for AW1.

No seriously, I saw a vid where a guy on YouTube managed to pull it off, but not a single thing can go wrong, and it exploits the AI and relies on dumb luck.

Fortunately Rivals! isn't necessary to unlock Nell. Advance Campaign was already hard enough without that one.

I beat Rivals by stealing Eagle's base using four copters full of infantry. He killed three of them, but because he was using a fighter jet, he couldn't stop my infantry from raiding his base.
Only Andy could accomplish a mission so magnificently stupid.

I don't think it's far-fetched that we may get another DLC character, but we may not.

Absolutely.
I'm sure there will be a balance patch. Maybe some new trophies?
And, yes, I think there will be either a surprise character release like June, or just a trailer.
I also don't think it's that far-fetched to see some small Iwata tribute.

Dual Strike? I always found that one to be the easiest of the AW series. Even Hard Campaign wasn't that difficult.

Exactly. But play Days of Ruin, it's actually has a story so you'll get stuck in and enjoy the gameplay more.

Dual Strike? I always found that one to be the easiest of the AW series. Even Hard Campaign wasn't that difficult.
