Man, I didn't realize how much I missed not having Pokemon Stadium 1 in Smash 4.



I would love more movement options in future Smash games. I would just hope they aren't tied to contrived and unintuitive button inputs.
Knowing smashers these days, they'd probably ban it. "We know when everything is going to happen and can avoid it, but it's still to random."

And Amen to ridiculous button inputs. I will never say that wavedashing is useless or stupid, but I will say that the input is garbage.

Useful and well designed are two very different things

It's times like these when I question why Sakurai ever thought Melee mechanics were a bad idea
Not friendly to begginers, difference in skill level comes down to how much buttons one can press in a small window of time( wavedash and L-cancel require way too precise button inputs, have you ever seen begginers even being able to tech?), ledge mechanics are dumb, etc etc

Glad to See Hbox get this far. Jiggly was my Melee main, so it's nice to see her represented in top 3 at the least.

This. DI is also unintuitive. I didnt even know I was doing it wrong until I looked it up.

That said, Smash 4 DI (or the blast zones) needs to be adjusted. People may die a little early in Melee, but they live way too long in smash 4.

I'm not sure about rage yet. My instinct make me hate damage buffs from getting your @$$ kicked, but it actually makes certain combos difficult or impossible even though ko moves are better.

I think you mean "criticizing". And honestly, anyone who willingly ignores legit criticisms, especially when good parts are also mentioned isnt worth listening to. (NOTE: I'm not saying Connor would do that)

Heck, I love smash 4 and I even listed problems it has.

What ever, it isn't anything I haven't heard before. Melee is great and all, but the wave dashing input is really the antithesis of what Smash is all about. The game is about simplifying traditional fighting game inputs... that's why it was made. Wave dashing is great because it provides a tool to mix up your movement in unpredictable ways. It's a big part of the reason why Melee is seen as a more offensive game. It doesn't need to be executed the way it is, though... and this comes from someone that used to play a lot of Melee and can wd is his sleep.

I don't understand how people hate hungry box honesty. He beat the big name players, so what? They clearly were not ready for him.

I like rage(but this is mostly personal bias 'cause I like most heavyweights), it rewards you for living and allows for comebacks more often, it also makes it a lot more scarier when both players are on high percents.
I have to agree with DI tho, it needs fixing, horizontal DI is fine and simple(you're launched more to the direction you hold, simple enough) but vertical DI works differently(holding up or down makes no difference, you have to hold right or left to increase the launching arc, the opposite makes you die earlier. For example: if you're hit by Fox's Up Smash while he's facing right, you have to hold right to increase the arc, if you hold left and decrease the arc, you'll die earlier)

I'm rooting for Box hard..... people were saying he was DONE a few years back. They were saying he was old (as far as his actual game) and that he was no longer and would never again be a top ten player.

Plus, like I said, I LOVE Melee Jiggly Puff. So this is awesome.

Because Smash Bros is supposed to be a pick up and play kind of game. Melee has to many 'advanced techniques'

Smash was made so that a pro could play a beginner player and not wait along time for them to be a challenge.

(Advanced techniques are in quotation marks because most of those techniques were not supposed to ever be part of Smash)

I mostly agree. Smash 4 DI is simpler (you only hold left or right), but the mixture of vectoring and traditional DI is unintuitive.

All you ever need to say is "unnecessary barrier of entry."

Also, the thing that I miss the most about Melee is Jiggly Puff's head band. WHY SAKURAI, WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY?!?!?!?!
