Played some Hallow Knight. Its pretty fun. I'm a little stuck at the moment but I'll figure out what to do.
Gonna try out Celeste later. For now, I want to play some Stardew Valley. I lost my old farm I had on my friend's PS4, so its back to square one for me. Not that I care. Stardew Valley is more than good enough for another play through.
I know Stardew Valley is good. My friend was determined to get me into Hallow Knight. He persuaded me into getting Celeste as well. Either way, these games are what I need to get away from Smash for awhile. Good as it may be, I'm a bit tapped out of Smash at the moment.
Dang, Bakugo is a darn fine antagonist. He's got a lot of intrigue to his character, and he might be my favorite so far simply because he's the most interesting character so far.

Bakugo is awesome out the gate, and his character gets even more nuance and depth as the story goes on. There's one episode in particular (I think you'll know when you see it) that really put him as something special in my eyes, as far as traditional "cocky rival" characters go.
I could gush about that character for hours. Everything about his arc so far is so well done.

It gets way better as it goes on, my favorite character is Todoroki, mainly due to his quirk and I like Tokoyami too, he kind of reminds me of Batman and Falco combined, but his quirk is pretty interesting too.
only a modern era show meant to be about turtles who fight ninjas and aliens would involve demonic summonings, an apocalypse, rat possession, suicide, murder in general, time travel, the Earth being sucked into a black hole, even weirder combos of pizza, and completely normal relationships
If that's what they have to do to grow larger and help their causes better, then that's what they have to do.
It's not like GDQ stopped being about playing games fast for charity or anything; and being more strict, in theory, prevents stuff like the infamous Crash Bandicoot 2 run from happening.

Bakugou has consistently been among the most popular characters in the series, according to Japanese fan polls, and is currently #1 in the most recent poll, knocking Deku and Todoroki off the top spot.
Horikoshi is really good with the main characters, when a character gets the spotlight, they tend to become more popular as a result; an example being...

It's complicated. I'll let TV Tropes answer your question.

The Crash Bandicoot 2 run during SGDQ 2015 was a complete and utter cluster****. Runner gamepro11 had already completed a run for Sonic Adventure DX earlier in the marathon, but he was still so nervous that he spent the entire Crash 2 run making poorly-received jokes about suicide and murder, with the run culminating in him soft-locking the game at the final boss right as he hit the estimated completion time. Saying the Twitch chat hated the guy is an understatement: the chat mod/admin had to set the word "cringe" to auto-censor because it was being spammed so much, and a good chunk of the chat hivemind reported the runner's Twitch channel en masse for "violating terms of service". The GDQ staff later banned him from the event, Twitch temporarily hit him with an IP ban, and SDA has deliberately skipped over the run while uploading the marathon to both their YouTube channel and to the Archive. The only way to even watch it is to either watch the VOD on Twitch or find one of the alt language re-streams that has uploaded the run to YouTube.

No idea.
Considering that 2015 seems to be the year they began becoming more strict about the runs, maybe that run was the start of that mentality.
That’s a pretty fair observation. I definitely get where his character comes from which is why I wasn’t to surprised. I’ll probably watch that video after I finish the season
