They're not being beaten down by anyone, it's their own delusion that women have a personal vendetta against them.

Oh really? That's good to know. Wouldn't really call it horror though but I'm not movie expert yet
It's a defense mechanism called "Displacement"

They are displacing their problems toward a source. But the problems still came from their feelings of inadequacy from being picked on and social pressures. It differs from person to person but it's just a way of unconsciously trying to deal with anxiety

Leprechaun is amazing. It's intentionally bad and it rolls with it. I think that people kinda came to realize that was the whole thing years later and that's why it's regarded as a cult classic now.

If only people would wake up and realize that's exactly what Jason X was trying to be too. Intentionally bad and just stupid like the premise is.

The best part of Jason X is when he freezes someone's head and then smashes it.

Same thing happens at the end of Demolition Man, and that one JCVD movie where Micheal Jai White is the villain.

So, any other Overwatch fans see the new huge commotion? About a exploit regarding the Mission Mode enemy characters in an actual Competitive match?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1Pn1gk4AkI

Basically, despite it being an exploit or hack, this practically has the Overwatch forums now wanting and asking for the Talon and Null Sector enemies to be usable for Custom Matches and whatnot. Regardless of this being an exploit, I will admit that seeing the Heavy fight alongside the heroes and the Assassin moving around is pretty cool.

Defense mechanisms come from a very primitive part of the brain. When someone is dealing with large amounts of anxiety and their brain kicks in to deal with it, they are mostly unaware it's happening. The displacement happens because the anxiety causes a large amount of powerful negative emotions and the brain wants to have a source of those emotions. If there is no true source the brain will create a source.

Just like a baby crying their outbursts are a very primitive form of trying to get attention because humans are social animals. Babies will cry and cry to annoy you into giving them attention. It's a form of positive/ negative reinforcement.

It's like depression, you can't just solve the problem by telling them to get over it. (Especially if they have learned helplessness - which is further enforced by their behaviour)

I really don't understand how people thought Jason X was taking itself seriously. Every few seconds someone is throwing out a stupid one liner usually right after a death or before a death. A girl literally gets sucked into the void of space and says ''Well, this sucks" before she dies by being SUCKED INTO SPACE.

Not to mention ''Hey, guys. It's okay. He just wanted his machete."

Haven't a clue.

Never been in close proximity of one.

Which strikes me as odd now that I sit and think about it.

Because.

It isn't furry.
I went to cat shows a couple times when I was younger and saw one up close once.

Pretty sure they're more covered in peach fuzz than just straight up nude.

Come to think of it humans are pretty much the sphinx cats of apes, give or take some awkwardly placed patchiness.

Hey Fal, good to see you!! Are you going to stick around for a while?
Hi Cyn! Nice to see you too.

I can't really say. I visited today only because Twitter shenanigans spilled over here, haha.

I'll try to be active.

It becomes an issue if the person isn't willing to try fixing themselves, though, and reject the help people give them. For a lot of those people they almost wear it as a badge of honor, weirdly enough.

That's because of learned helplessness.

"a condition in which a person suffers from a sense of powerlessness, arising from a traumatic event or persistent failure to succeed. It is thought to be one of the underlying causes of depression."

It's hard to unlearn something when you have learned it. And if you learn that whatever you do, you will fail... Then you just don't try and succeed. It's like they electrocuted a dog whenever it tried to escape. It just eventually stopped trying even with an open cage.
