I'm torn.

I brought back Xenoblade Chronicles X with me from spring break, and I want to play it again, but I dunno if I want to start my file over or do post game stuff. I'm max level, I absolutely adore my Skell and team, I have an infinite overdrive setup, and I still have plenty of sidequests and bosses to fight.

But I also want to experience the game from the start again. But that also means getting myself through the slow, slow first few chapters of this game.

Curse the lack of a NG+...

Not sure about that... As long as you don't use other works for any competition or get actual benifits... I think it's fine.

I do aware people just want to know the source because they want to see the artist's other works, and that is a good thing for the artist.

If they have bonus redeeming qualities. Having standards also helps, like lines that they refuse to cross. Character development is extremely useful. Make me care about this character. Make it so that there is stuff hidden behind the pervyness, or maybe a decent psychological reason for it.

Off the top of my head, the perviest character I can think of is Teruteru Hanamura.

He comes off as somewhat sympathetic due to his backstory, but it would really help if he had more character. He's honestly just kind of forgettable, all things considered.

I mean, we have perverted characters like Master Roshi, so yes they can work.

I feel like its a balancing act. If you make them too perverted, then they're less appealing, but if you add more character behind it, you have a comedy-relief sort of character, which are really nice to have in most series/movies.

Master Roshi is the only perverted character that actually works I think.

I honestly can't think of a single character that has worked well. The best one is master roshi because they basically dropped it more and more as time went on and "it was a different era" and all that **** (some of that stuff is supppppper questionable though).

But after that there are like. . .0 good examples. Unless maybe they are a villain and it's being used as an example of villainy but that might turn around to sexuality being villainous so it becomes a fine line. I cant think of any examples though so. . .


Also Mineta is a trash boy.

Master Roshi, because there's more to him than that, at least in the Original Dragon Ball. He degraded in DBZ because he fulfilled his purpose in the narrative, though he was given some depth again in Dragon Ball Super.

He helped Tien find his way(which helped as much as, if not more than Goku just kicking his ass). Taught Goku to read and do math. And he helped give Krillin confidence by training him. He was also a complete beast in OG Dragon Ball.

Falkner is not that hard, just play the game normally, and you beat him. Unless you picked Chikorita, but that's your fault for going with a Grass starter.

Now Whitney is on her BS unless you grind or get a Nidoran Male with Double Kick. Morty can be a bit annoying if you don't have a Psychic move or a Dark move among all your Pokemon.

You can't catch Mareep in Crystal.

They can work as long as they're more than just a pervert and aren't forced. Mineta's entire existence is "I wanna see sum *****" and he hogs a lot of screentime which could go to other characters but instead he just sits there sexually harassing the female cast and a literal child. Master Roshi's absolutely awful but he was at least more than a pervert in the OG Dragon Ball, he taught Goku and Krillin martial arts, he disguised as Jackie Chun, made sure Namu or whatever his name was got what he wanted despite losing the tournament, was willing to sacrifice himself for the Evil Containment Wave, etc. Then he stopped being useful and became exclusively a perv. My avi's sidekick, Seiji the reporter is an absolute perv but he also serves as exposition and the rest of his personality isn't just 'lol perv' but rather the cool reporter guy. In Re: Cutie Honey anyway

Pervert characters only work if they're something like Quagmire from Family Guy or in a show like that where you can also point out they're a horrible person.
