I want Eggman to meet a female villain and fall in love and they just become a power couple trying to destroy Sonic.

I just want one of the bad guys in these games to have an actual wife that is shown. I'd prefer Bowser to have a wife. But I kinda get the feeling if/he does have a wife, she's passed away and that's why he's so into Peach.

I feel like an IP like Fire Emblem would be better able to handle Unholy Matrimony considering the constantly shifting casts and how a monarchy is managed compared to "oh look a crazy person with way too much power," but of course it'd need writers who knew how to manage it for that.

As of now it technically takes place in the Game Universe as far as we can tell. It takes place several months after Forces. So far no sign of Sally or any of the Archie cast, though we are getting plenty of new characters.

So in that regard, yeah, another stack on the Multiverse Pile. Blame Archie for that one.

TBH I think Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd had more good in them even pre-purification than Eggman.

And this is a space witch with an army of homunculus monsters and a guy with no skin I'm talking about here.

Also even if they stayed together, it took a love potion for them to even be matched in the first place.

Actually continuity wise, Zedd actually liked Rita, took the love potion for him to realise it, cause the writers needed more comedy for Zedd.
