Hi peeps. How is everyone?

Not bad. I'm working on testing Quest 64 stuff. Like how Extinction does not work properly against you, since it just de-spawns an enemy(which may or may not end the battle, and you gain no experience from that enemy). Instead, you take massive damage. Even at max Defense, you can still take at least 30-50 or so depending your opponent's attack, they could OHKO you easily. What I noticed was that a Termanet, which has around 20 attack, can deal a 0 defense Brian 688 damage in one shot.

Unfortunately, if you use it, you're just re-casting the spell, and it freezes often that way, since it's meant to be used once per turn entirely.

MK11's Story is fantastic. You can really tell they took the best parts of the IJ2 story and tried to implement them here.

Spoiler: Few thoughts

THE GREAT:
- I was happy enough seeing good boy Liu Kang again, and then they introduced Fire God Liu Kang. Good lord that was exciting as hell. Seeing Raiden and Liu Kang work together like that was fantastic, and the flashbacks to all their previous fights was great too. Liu Kang as protector of Earthrealm feels like a great end to his development.

- Kitana Khan made me very damn happy too. Kitana finally got her moment to rise to the occasion, shame Kotal had to eat **** for it though.

- Jax's whole conflict was very well done in my opinion. While the ending was a little quick (all it took was one conversation with Raiden) the parts before it really made me feel for him.

- Cage family. Sonya's sacrifice, Cassie taking command, Johnny putting his younger self in place, all of it was so good.

- Shaolin Monks chapter made me giddy as hell. Past Kung Lao has some golden lines in this game ("Now she's out of your league")

- Emotional scenes in general felt much stronger in this game than the past ones. Good camerawork, music and delivery helped tremendously.

THE BAD:

- Jacqui. It's like NRS have no idea what they want to do with her story wise. Her only real purpose in scenes is as a supporting character to others, and she doesn't really get any moments of her own.

- Erron Black. I didn't think it was possible to make this guy even MORE of a jobber but somehow they did it. Not to mention that the current timeline Erron (the one working for Kotal) just disappears?

- Cetrion and Geras. Geras was just another jobber, Cetrion, for being an elder god, just follows her mother around and doesn't really do anything.

Chrono. Dokkan is KILLING me with these banners. If we keep JP's release schedule we're getting Kid Goku, LR Caulifla/Kale AND Transforming Trunks, all units I'd definitely pull for (not to mention Gogeta on Trunks' banner) all after 4th anniversary, no real breaks in between. I'm starting to debate if I go all out for Baby Vegeta/GT Trio, or just leave those stones to use on Caulifla's banner and maybe get lucky and pull any of the three.

I had my last Smash Ultimate tournament on campus today. I'll be graduating soon, so I won't be around to see how these players develop in the future. It's kinda sad...

I got 3rd place, and the final rankings for this semester placed me at 3rd overall. Not bad for my first run. Nowhere to go but up from here.

I expected that, but I'm still disappointed. I do remember it being said that not all of the characters would be included and none of the second gen units were on the cover so it was a fair assumption that they'd be the most likely to get ignored out of any of the cast. However, that doesn't mean I'm happy that guess turned out to be right as I wanted to see Shiro, Forrest, and some of the others get official art. So them getting skipped over almost entirely is still a letdown, especially since I would've liked to have seen the concept and design process for them.

Also, I'm kind of curious how Selkie was able to sneak her way in over the others, she wasn't the most notable of the bunch so it's odd that she is the only exception here.

I watched a trailer for Avengers Endgame called "Don't Spoil the Endgame", and Youtube's response is to put spoilers for Avengers Endgame (looked to be camera ripped versions) in my recommended videos. It wasn't anything major (the video in question was called

Some thoughts on the movie, no huge/major spoilers.

Spoiler: Endgame stuff... don't look if haven't watch the movie

All the time traveling... thing... theory... despite I get what are they trying to do, but I never thought it would make sense... or why changing the past won't really effect the future the are in, they said it will only create another timeline, so does that mean they are traveling to a different kind of timeline? And it seems that "Can't been seen by anybody" from the third Harry Potter doesn't apply because Captain America just beat himself...

The Ancient One and Bruce Banner did proper explanation, still don't get how they can return all the stones though...

I am also delighted on how even the Chinese subtitles make some good localization.
One is that when Bruce Banner and Rocket went to Norway to find Thor and found out he became fat and playing Fortnite (Sot of)... Rocket said he looks like a melting ice cream.
In Taiwan's Chinese sub it translate to, "You look like a Chinese Maitreya..."

Maitreya is probably the best metaphor to describe Thor's body 5 years later... because if you do not know, Maitreya is a type of budda that in China or Chinese world looks like this:

It isn't really something that's practical to do, since the main language here is English. So there's not really any other way to handle something like that.

The list of censored words is maintained manually by the admins, it's not baked into the software or language packs or anything like that. That's why it's impractical to do.
