Honestly not sure, but I guess they don't want Banjo to remain "dead". I heard some people talk about an upcoming Rare conference, although I doubt it's happening, so there's that.

It sucks, but other franchises have had to endure this too. Even Mega Man, although he fortunately got back on his feet.
