Welp, finished the Golden DLC, 19 hours total, and with almost every side quest done (I know there has to be something else but I dunno how to unlock the remaining sidequests, I'll look into it tomorrow). I also won't be discussing story related stuff because I think I'm the first to finish it here and there's no point to write stuff no one will read lol, so I'll wait until the rest finishes to discuss the ending and all that.
So, impressions about the game itself! Combat is better than regular XC2, more dynamic, and I loved the kits they gave to the main protagonists. The switching system is really good overall, but XCX combat is still better.
I don't get why you have to do so many side quests to actually finish the game, since you level up so fast you really don't need the extra experience (I didn't use it since I was consistently beating unique monsters 5 levels ahead of me, so I saw no need to use it). Either way, these sidequests were fantastic, that's why I ended up doing every single one instead of piling them up like in the regular game hahaha. I loved that you get little interactions with the main cast in every secondary mission, and that's thanks to the smaller cast compared to regular XC2.
Speaking of the cast, I loved almost all of them. Addam has such a big presence and it's such a good boy, probably my favourite. Hinoka and Alfonse were pretty good too (I loved Lora's fighting style). As for the blades, I like Mythra more now, she must be protected from bullies, and the rest of blades we already knew grew up on me, but I felt really indifferent with Minoth (his fighting style is an Elma ripoff too lol).
As for presentation, game looks as gorgeous as ever, I think it looks better on portable than the regular game, might be due to the smaller map or something? FPS were also good, except for the final part of the game, at that time it really suffered. And the little new songs that were added were also fantastic.
TLDR: bless MonolithSoft, this was definitely worth the prize. I thought it might be a little longer, but I enjoyed it a lot. Now they better bless us with a sequel in a whole different planet
