And it's funny because you liked this post as well as the one I was referring to from 2016. That's some long-term storytelling right there.

Ironically though, it was ChikoLad who brought up the possibility of it being the result of what I felt in mind. Which I would find out was actually the case 5 months later.

I should take my own advice one of these days.

Well, I did get all the medical testing I needed to show I was healthy and I had no issues like that (more times than I needed admittedly so) but I made the lifestyle changes anyways to make sure that something like that would never happen to me if it were real. And it's funny because I remember the sequence of events clearly from those 3 days. Granted it wasn't a huge amount of time ago but given the past 2+ years it might as well be a decade.

Nintendo seems to be in a poor situation with the direct. Unless it’s dropped tomorrow then they have to go with 9/11 as it’s release day or wait to Thursday and risk famitsu leaks because apparently something has proven it will have smash stuff(idk on this though)

But then it’s kind of hypocritical. We presume the delay was out of respect, but if that’s the case, airing it on a day of rememberence in the United States and sort of the world, is just as bad as airing it at its original date.

If the Direct airs on Monday at 5PMEST, it'll be at an appropriate date. It'll still be September 10 in all of the Americas, 10PM in the UK, and 11PM for all of Europe. It'll only be September 11 in other areas in the East which would be less sensitive to that date. That's my take anyways.

I keep putting it off though because I've tried applying for a medical card and they keep declining me, despite the fact I should pass all of their stated requirements. Without one, a doctor's visit costs me €50 and that's before taking prescription into account. And since I'm trying to buy some things I need to get my YouTube channel going, plus birthdays, Christmas, and a couple of games I want are around the corner, I just can't fit it in right now. Which probably sounds silly but really I'm not too worried about either of the things and one of them might be me overthinking things anyway. The other is an on-and-off physical issue that I sometimes get so it's nothing new and I've been doing fine with it.

There is no Famitsu leak, the issue that's been going around is actually going to discuss news from the Smash Direct.

Also, I don't mean to downplay the tragedy of 9/11, but it it happened a long time ago. Hokkaido literally just happened, and I don't think Nintendo cancelling it out of just "respect" is even the full truth. It's very likely that actual Nintendo of Japan employees had family and friends to worry about so they cancelled operations for a little while so people could help their families.

The actual auto-balance system. If the teams becomes unbalanced (one team needs to have at least two less players than the other) then the game will force one certain player over to the other team within a set short amount of time, assuming no other players join the team to balance it out within that time period.

The game doesn't doesn't factor much into who gets switched or why besides the player count, so you could be less than a minute away from the match being over, or one point away from your team winning the game, but the auto-balance system will shove someone over to the other team anyway, even if it can't possibly make a difference by that point.

The old systems were flawed (the original system would wait for players to die before actually switching them over to the other team, then later on, the system asked suitable players if they wanted to join the other team to balance things out and gain extra EXP as a bonus; this caused issues since players didn't actually take the offer very often, leaving the other team with a low player count. Later on, this version wouldforcibly switch players only if nobody accepted the offer) but this one is possibly the worst yet, imo.

Is universal health care not a thing in Ireland? Like here in Canada, I could go to a walk-in clinic and get free treatment/a free evaluation even if I have to pay for prescription sometimes.
