I don't have much of an opinion on the show itself. The art style isn't my favourite but it looks good for what it is. I won't be watching it regardless but I haven't been watching much besides YouTube video essays and playthroughs these days. But the fact Crunchyroll is doing this yet can't be bothered to fix their main, primary service (the streaming platform), on top of the way they are trying to market it with "diversity" while not actually showing a diverse group people working on it, just seems a little silly if you ask me.

I think less people would be complaining about the show if Crunchyroll actually fixes their service and just marketed the show in a way that actually shows off the strengths of the show.

Exactly, it isn't the cartoon itself is a problem (Yet...), it is how CR markets this cartoon, this is where I kind of give flag to Appabend's video about where he criticize the cartoon being too similar to RWBY and Little Witch Academia (Which are both my favorite shows too). But I digress, you can make a cartoon similar to other media and make it better, so fingers crossed.

As always I will always take on the middle ground when giving out my thoughts, and I know may sound weird but I won't blame any certain group of people until I see facts when it comes to any controversy.

Don't get me wrong here, while I do agree that if The Guardian Spice uses diversity solely for advertisement... most people won't buy it, I don't really think that a cartoon show having diversity is a bad thing.
And I am not complaing by any means since by looking at the poster, while it does look more of a Cal Arts style, but combining anime eyes doesn't look too bad to me, then again just like Appabend points out, don't market the cartoon solely on diversity, but I also hope the cartoon's story is good and it might just be another Steven Universe, where the creator is a female and it has many diverse of characters and female heros, and it's a very good cartoon.

"Let's wait until the report is done, let's wait until the meal is cooked" while how Crunchy Roll advertise this isn't good base on receptions I hope they can really show off the cartoon's story soon.

Not watching video because the Youtuber has a polarized viewpoints compare to you... yeah I understand.

Uh, simply checking Google Calarts is actually a brief for California Institute of the Arts, an arts school in Valencia, California. The school has produced animators of many popular television shows like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe like I mentioned. (Info from KYM)

They basically share the same style... which is like this...

That is some what of a case for certain people, but again not what most of people were complaining. Like how me and Chikolad point out, CR releasing a trailer about the devs' diversity? Not a good move imo.

And with the trailer's Like/Dislike ratio and even comments being disabled, we might never know. All we can know is that trailer has gotten a pretty bad rep, but I really hope this doesn't mean the cartoon itself would get a bad rep.

Your former point about people doing what they wanted to do is right, I will never deny this. But again, CR releasing a trailer highlighting the cartoon and the creators' diversity instead of showing us the cartoon's story trailer... and ultimately disable like/dislike ratio and comments is what made people raise their eyebrows. I kind of baffles me on how CR seems to just block people instead of giving out some clarifications.

Well... I'm not that amazed lol, this is more like comparing apples to oranges here.
A lot of anime share big eyes not gonna lie lol. But there are plenty of animes that are have more realistic look as well.

I mean now I get Calarts is from the same group of artists, I don't really mind that much.

I find that example even funnier because :
-Only main characters are used
-Eyes are conveniently ignored
-None of the examples provided share the same body shape
-None of the other character designs within those shows resemble each other
Like, GF for example

Also, if you can actually look at ****ing
Gumball and go "yeah that show looks the same as all others" you are blind

All 3 Xenosaga games actually had swimsuits as equipment. Heck, the swimsuits were actually useful in Xenosaga 2 and taking them off would make the game harder.
