In an interview get even said the game didn’t sell to their windiest dreams but was solid. This graph shows otherwise. This is from when 2 million units were sold.

Europe and North America account for most of the sales so japan didn’t not like the game that well.

The more and more I partake in discussion on r/XenobladeChronicles, the more and more I realise how poorly handled Rex, Pyra, and Mythra's portrayals were handled.

Well, mostly Rex. The issues with Pyra and Mythra were always pretty apparent, but it's only now I'm realising how fundamentally flawed his characterisation and "development" is after Chapter 1.

God, I wish this game was "Nia & Mórag's Extravagant Adventure ft. Thunderbolt Zeke".

I can understand with Rex, but Pyra and Mythra not sure where are you exactly coming from.

My issue with Pyra is how she has a lot of show up until Mythra appears, I mean yeah that's because they are in a same body but in later chapters she seems to be nearly absent thus we couldn't see her character developement.

Also people are more engaging on talking about the ending, which I am also curious to hear about your thoughts:

So it's been a bit divided on whether the ending, Pyra and Mythra return and separated as well all know, but do they still remember what happened before? Or just like a normal Blade where they lost their memories (Obviously includes their memories with Addam 500 years ago)?

I personally think "Team forget" suits a better ending... and yeah from Poppi's reaction it is a bit skeptical but I see Rex's reaction, I think "team forget" is more plausible.

I might share my theories later.

His videos and some other anime-focused YouTuber videos keep showing up on my home page and if they sound interesting I watch them.

I won't be watching it regardless but I haven't been watching much besides YouTube video essays and playthroughs these days. But the fact Crunchyroll is doing this yet can't be bothered to fix their main, primary service (the streaming platform), on top of the way they are trying to market it with "diversity" while not actually showing a diverse group people working on it, just seems a little silly if you ask me.

I think less people would be complaining about the show if Crunchyroll actually fixes their service and just marketed the show in a way that actually shows off the strengths of the show.

As always I will always take on the middle ground when giving out my thoughts, and I know may sound weird but I won't blame any certain group of people until I see facts when it comes to any controversy.

Don't get me wrong here, while I do agree that if The Guardian Spice uses diversity solely for advertisement... most people won't buy it, I don't really think that a cartoon show having diversity is a bad thing.
And I am not complaing by any means since by looking at the poster, while it does look more of a Cal Arts style, but combining anime eyes doesn't look too bad to me, then again just like Appabend points out, don't market the cartoon solely on diversity, but I also hope the cartoon's story is good and it might just be another Steven Universe, where the creator is a female and it has many diverse of characters and female heros, and it's a very good cartoon.

"Let's wait until the report is done, let's wait until the meal is cooked" while how Crunchy Roll advertise this isn't good base on receptions I hope they can really show off the cartoon's story soon.

The CR player sucks, I'll give him that but I doubt the people working on HGS are the same as the one who manage the service so the two things aren't related. And the Jojo bit is a terrible example of bad subtitles because they LEGALLY need to change the Stand names.

And he didn't just "point out the irony"(which isn't even so when 50% female staff members is a diverse team), he said, "a show that panders to american trends more than anything", which is clear what he means with that.

Also, in that same video, he admits to defending loli fanservice but claims to not be a pedophile which is the real irony here.
