Looks like going for a Summer Takumi solo on the new Bound Hero Battle is out of the question.

The way how the map is structured and the skills on some of those units gives me the impression this BHB is meant to counter Archer solos.

I only managed to beat Normal thus far and haven't completed Lunatic or Infernal no matter which options I tried.

I'm currently sitting at 65 orbs.

While I do have hefty amount of orbs for CYL 2, I don't plan on pulling from CYL 2 just yet. I want to save most of my orbs for the Legendary Hero banner coming soon.

Honestly I could see the perfect final smash for Skull Kid. Similar to how Ridley and K. Rool’s goes.

The target gets tossed onto the clock tower in Termina and the Moon just ****ing rockets down onto the clock tower and destroys it and the target.

Honestly, I agree.
You spread your tracks out over miles and miles of terrains and you'll only remember the ambient tracks because that's what you'll hear the most.

For me, the most memorable tracks are the main theme (and remixes thereof) and the Maz Koshia boss fight theme.
Also the guardian spotted piano riff which plays for about 5 seconds before you're blown to smithereens.

Saving isn't too hard when you're driven toward a specific goal unit/units. I was approaching 500, and then the Celica and Minerva banners happened. But now I can start saving again since I have all of my favorites that are currently in the game.

...Now I just need to wait for the rest to be added. Like Silque, or Lena, or Shadow Dragon Hardin. Or Julian. Or Valbar. Or Beck...and so on and so forth.

The ambient tracks are fantastic too though.

See this is what happens when people are only raised on Nintendo games that mostly only have "themed" songs and a lack of atmospheric and moody songs.

But even then, Breath of the Wild still has a ton of memorable themes, even the town themes, which you hear them often enough.

But yeah when I wasn't playing games with typically catchy theme soundtracks, I was playing the likes of Rayman 2 with it's incredible, moody soundtrack and that just gave me an appreciation for this stuff.

I'm currently at 121 orbs. Not great.

Honestly, unless these heroes are like "OH MY GOD I ABSOLuTELY MUsT HAVe THEsE NOW," I'm probably going to spend these orbs trying to pull Dancer Micaiah. The CYL characters will be here for awhile and be rerun plenty afterwards, so I'd rather try to grab a valuable seasonal while I have the chance.

Eh... from what I understand and have seen, I don't think there's anyone on my mind that I would recommend you block? Unless this includes people who post about fake leaks and such for games just to piss people off or alternatively to just mislead people when it's not actually true, then I might know a few people on Twitter that do that.

It's not that I know of anyone that does that all of the time that I follow or anything, it's just this general persona I see a lot.

Basically just guys who don't run their own website half the time or even a YouTube channel. They just report game news on Twitter all the time and have a following, but because they're not really big professionals or anything, they always throw in unwarranted snark or push some agenda regarding some games for no reason.

And now that I think about about it, the problem exists in a lot of big professional outlets too.

You know what, I guess I just really am getting increasingly jaded with current state of game journalism.

IDK how much shade he throws because all I've mostly seen of him is the incident that cemented he wasn't worth my time, but he seems to have all this clout for utterly no reason and he definitely tried to sell a fake leak to people for the sake of trolling.

My record was 290 or 280 something orbs, until I shredded them on that Hardin, Grima and Effie banner.
It was worth it because I got two Hardins ( One was +Attack -Speed ), and a Grima that was +Attack -Speed.

I have 78 orbs right now.

He made a big point supporting his buddy that was passing it around and trying to hammer in that he had his sources and it was real. Most places including here ate it up like candy. GameFAQs thought he was full of sewage even more than they usually think people are because of his past history there. Then he went out of his way to go onto a thread discussing him there, mock the community, mock the individual people there...then play the victim card on Twitter and act like he was trying to defuse the situation on GameFAQs instead of pour gasoline on it, to the sympathy of his followers.

Turns out the whole leak was a "prank" on him and his friend's part essentially.

So yeah, he's...kind of my default example of an untrustworthy glutehat from that.

Other people here have brought up much more recent anecdotes of more minor misbehavior from him, but I have that whole saga ingrained into my head just from the absurdity of it all.

I'm 100% F2P. They just threw Orbs at me this past month so it was easy and I'm pretty sure the last time I really thre Orbs at a banner was with Legendary Hector. I don't even think I'll spend that much with CYL, I'll get Hector or Veronica for free depending on their color and then Ephraim and Celica will be a maybe but all I'm waiting for are TT units to be added to the summoning pool.

I feel he's better for merging as Cain is easy to get and already gives Wings of Mercy 3 and I have not found a real good use for Steady Stance. That being said, my Black Knight is now +3 and he's still a great Sword armor when you don't have Zelgius, especially when he has Bold Fighter. He's been doing very well for me.

Actually great tutorial that teaches you useful things and you can revisit particular sections whenever you desire.
Character trials actually teach you necessary combos that the character will actually be able to use.
Accessible and friendly to newcomers
Deep mechanics that add so much more to the game, resource management is key
Characters all stand out from one another and are very well balanced (the "worst" character in the game made it to top 8 at the Evo Side tournament this year) and fun to use.
Great soundtrack and lovely aesthetic.

Seems like I shouldn't have been quick to complain about that Micaiah and Sothe GHB, because I managed to beat both Lunatic and Infernal difficulties just now!

I didn't go for a solo Summer Takumi run in both, but I still used him. This time, it was in a Flier Emblem team with him, Tana, Halloween Nowi, and Flying Olivia.

In the Lunatic difficulty, Halloween Nowi was able to one-shot the sword unit on the right, and she could tank the green mage. The next turn involved putting everyone away from enemy range. The final turn ended with Tana one-shotting Micaiah and Takumi one-shotting Sothe and the Red Mage.

In the Infernal difficulty, I positioned Halloween Nowi next to Summer Takumi so that she gave him the Attack and Speed boost necessary to one-shot the Lance unit closeby on the first turn.. Tana moved one space left and one space down, while Nowi used Reposition to bring Olivia over to Takumi to sing to him so that he can move out of enemy range.

On the next turn, Tana moved all the down to stay away from the Cavalry Green mage that was moving in, while Takumi and Nowi moved out of enemy range once more. Only Olivia was in enemy range, and she tanked the Green mage. The turn after, Takumi moved in to KO Micaiah, followed by the Green Mage. Tana then moved up to hit the Firesweep Sword user and trap him so that he wouldn't kill Olivia.

On the final turn, Tana KOd the Firesweep Sword user, while Takumi KOd Sothe and then the Red Mage with the help of Flying Olivia.

That was a satisfying win!

Tom is probably my favorite by a little bit. I also really like Toby.
