It's made in SRPG Studio (which only launched in 2015) so it literally has no budget.

Despite that, the game is apparently well written and fun. According to comments on siliconera and r/fireemblem anyway...

Also this is one of the maps which is just hilarious.

Yikes.
Ok, I'm sold, I'm all for super gimmicky stuff like this.

I think I've used up a good month's worth of luck in Heroes today.

Free pull on today's banner? Got an off-banner Nephenee.

Then I decide to do a pull on the Hardin banner before it goes since mine is lol -Atk. Two blue orbs. I pulled both.

Five star Effie and a five star +Def -HP Hardin. Merged my old one into him because now Bonfire's gonna hit even harder.

Oh yeah, I pre-ordered the Special Edition of Smash Ultimate yesterday. I'm not sure if I will follow through with it since it's way too expensive and I might not have the money for it when the time comes, but I really want the box and you know how limited Nintendo stuff is, especially where I live. So I figure I may as well run with it.

The other option is to pre-order the standard edition from SimplyGames and get the game a day early. Buuuut pretty collector's box.

Next I need to pre-order Spyro, and then Kingdom Hearts 3. I wanted to get the KH3 Bring Arts bundle but that's hella expensive and that's one game I might try to get a day early.

Question for Heroes players.

I’ve got a Distant Defense to fodder off, but I’m not sure who to give it to. Any suggestions?

I am not jealous because I do not need Nephenee but that surely is very good to hear Opossum getting luck!

Alright, honest question:

It is right to support a dev from a company you know have done bad stuff and not feel like you are doing the wrong thing?

'cuz I want to support Nintendo games, especially Ultimate, but I can't deny that what they done to emuparadise is really, really ****ty and not something to support at all.

So, what I should do? What should I feel about this?
I just support the products I like, regardless of the company. So I would say do that. Though if you are really concerned There's other consoles to buy I guess.

I can't think of anyone who could benefit from it that much, especially since it's available as a seal. Feel like anyone who could benefit from DD could probably just use the seal and then another A skill.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are those bulky collectors edition s even worth buying?
You mean the Smash one? All I've heard for its contents is the game, GameCube controller, & adapter.

Personally, I have both controller & adapter thanks to Smash Wii U and I'm getting it digitally, sooooooo...

I shut my eyes at 5 PM yesterday and woke up at 5 AM today. Dude, school's already making my sleep scheduling trash. Haven't had a FASFA thrown in my face yet, so the worst has yet to come.

Dont you just do your FASFA before you even start? Thats what I did
Before what exactly? There's a lot of things that could be before starting something.
Our county specifically puts us in FASFA lineups by the end of August.

The biggest thing about Ultimate that nobody is talking about is the fact that we can make Xander Mobus say penis.

FASFA lineups, what?

This sounds so weird to be, where do you live?
Before college, I went and did the FASFA asap and was ready by the start of my first year, got the money and everything

As someone who passionately disagrees with Nintendo's stance on emulation and ROM distribution, I don't think there is anything wrong with buying their games.

The decision to chase down ROM sites is a Nintendo corporate decision, not one made by developers (which would be Sakurai in the case of Smash Ultimate). And while the corporate bigwigs are getting a cut of that purchase, I do still believe developers deserve a return for their work, especially if it's a good game.

It also comes down to the fact that they're releasing games you want to play. You don't have to do everything in life in the name of something bigger than you. I don't even think boycotting them would change their stance on this, at least not boycotting their games in general. I think nothing short of a change to the laws regarding piracy would change Nintendo's stance, and even THAT is debatable, as Nintendo has been known to break laws for as long as possible in order to maintain their own anti-consumer policies in the name of money, as are a lot of other video game corporations. The video game industry is still super archaic like that.

So yeah TL;DR you're allowed to buy what you want.

Maybe this tweet I made yesterday is relevant now.

Because this is a Christian message board, obviously.

I would love to be able to try SRPG Studio, if it wasn't JP only. Cause looking at that image, it reminds me alot of Shining Force and I would love to try to make a Shining Force-inspired game on that.

We can go further and mix it with Summer Innes' clips to have him say: "Behold my penis"

that tweet really speaks to me to be honest

nintendo is literally just a corporation that mostly trades in selling your nostalgia back to you. as formative as their work has been to me, it's really important not to deify them too much. small, obscure indie developers are just as, if not more deserving of attention. even smashboards itself is a bit uncomfortable for me now
