So there is this website called "Crackwatch" that monitors when PC games get cracked and available for people to easily pirate. There is also a subreddit for it.

But on the reddit thread for We Happy Few, a developer from Compulsion Games left this comment.



And apparently Steam sales for the game have started to significantly rise since this comment was left.

Regardless of the game's actual quality (I've heard it has some bad problems, seems like it wasn't finished), I think this is a really nice gesture and also, proof of how the issue of piracy isn't exactly black and white. Treat your consumers with respect, and they will respect you in turn. I wish more companies understood this.

Also reminds me of the time Aaron Webber warned people of takedowns for Sonic Boom TV show YouTube uploads, allowing people to preemptively take down the videos themselves without getting a strike on their channels.

A Glass Cannon Tactician is a fun thing to have.

And it shows how surprisingly flexible Robin can be.

It makes sense, unlike skull kid though the only thing directly linked to smash is the gematsu leak.

A lot of this is based on timing and sales/coincidences. It could all very well add up though.

I still firmly believe a Rythem heaven rep is coming based on last game

Instead it gets Gangplank Galleon remixed three different times, LOL.

Which I'm oddly OK with because Gangplank Galleon is the biggest bopper in that franchises' Smash selection while Jungle Japes is just downright lukewarm. Same reason the volume of Gourmet Race remixes doesn't bother me but the number of Mute City ones does.

I'm still waiting for Kid Icarus and Sonic remixes myself.

At least they seem to be doing one song to a franchise for website teases, not that the chances of rolling any one particular franchise are all that great even with that. Prolly like 16 more goes before release, a couple nonaffiliated songs here, Mario and Pokemon there. . .you'd think they'd chose at least some of the franchises with boppers for the rest of the teases though, right?
