The only thing Castlevania 2 has going for it is Bloody Tears, but even then it gets cut off all the time with "Its a Terrible Night to Have a Curse"
Its also has a lot of parts that make you die easily and unfairly like invisible pitfalls and water being your worst enemy. Not only that, but advancing through the game is very vague and the game gives more fake/troll hints than real ones. It pratically requires a guide to complete. Lots of obscure stuff like equipping otherwise useless items in certain areas to progress. Its like the game devs are testing your resolve or mybe even punishing you. Will you ragequit from all the bs, or somehow persevere just to be rewarded with a shallow experience all the way through. Its not a satisfying challenge, just a chore to get through, and video games shouldn't be chores that punish you for playing, imo.

I'll never get why that game was chosen over 3 (you don't need to have played the previous games to get into it). But at least Simon's Quest is of higher quality than like 88% of the NES Library...

That's the thing with "coolness." It doesn't come from just what weaponry you have, otherwise, Coldsteel the Hedgehog would be the sickest thing.

No, it comes from how a character looks, how a character acts, and how they use the tools given to them. In Corrin's case, nothing he says or does is even remotely cool nor interesting, so the powers gifted on him feel really wasted and kinda unearned.

For many Fire Emblem fans, Corrin ranks as one of the two worst lords in the series story-wise (and worst overall if you don't count Kris as a lord), due to Fates' player pandering, general dumb story moments, and just being poorly handled in general (being part dragon doesn't even really factor into the story much at all, and is mainly just there).

And yet despite that, Corrin still ranks pretty highly on popularity polls (well, the female version anyway). The thing is, very few people seem neutral on Corrin, with many liking them but many disliking them. It's just kind of interesting to me. Bayonetta's reception isn't only from her tier status and need of tweaks.

Even before we knew she was going to be good, people were (I suppose rightfully since they were under the impression the ballot mattered for 4's DLC) complaining she wasn't X requested character instead.

And for someone who does have a pretty sizable cult following in gaming, I sadly and tragically don't see much fan art of her pertaining to Smash Brothers.

Do you know badly I've wanted to see Bayonetta and Snake together? Or now Bayonetta and Simon? Like they seem like logical fan art draws, but nope because of her reception you don't see things like that. It's sad really.

I just think Corrin has a really boring design (why so much beige) and Smash doesn't exactly let her personality come through, if she even has one. She barely registers as a character to me.

They both have more personality in Heroes and Warriors. Fates sets up what could make them interesting, due to them having a Rapunzel's tower-like life, but they don't follow up through with it in due to tragedy, war, bad writing and pandering as an Avatar character. Without the pandering to them in Heroes and Warriors, they're given more personality than just "I've made my choice."

whelp its official guys, we have survived a whole year here all of us have, and with it we made a pretty damn neat home, i'm more surprised all of us made it through the whole year without major permanent injury or scarring, though we came very close to my and unis death, and several people loseing their foot or legs, we all still picked our selves up and kept going for a whole damn year, were still no where near of getting off this planet, we just recently discovered micro electronics to do some heavy duty science which we need more space for, but hey still pretty impressed~

anyway in the middle of the night i sent uni to go do his trading of all the junk we have, and shishoe to bodyguard him just in case bad **** happens

morning came and praline finally got around to removing all the clumps of stone of the mountain we built our workshops into so now we can expand the labotory to include more spacing for things, possibly the kitchen/workshop as well, also decided to add the area on over by berthas grave to make a new kitchen and renovating the old stockpile as one huge area to store ****, finished the fermenting storehouse and afterward make a proper armonery, so plenty of work to get done thorugh the new year (for us as in game its the start of fall)

oh great the beavers are back :V guess its beaver season again lol

since melee worked so well last time i just let lily and yellow handle it
which uh...did work

yaaaaa...lily basically just stabbed the poor guys in their brains and yanked them out and also chopped up the kidneys and hearts up, pretty gruesome stuff, she basically finished everything off herself nearly
though she did get scratched and bit by one particular beaver, nothing to serious but is bugging her rather well so shiny went on in to patch her up

god damn it lily, don't follow unis foot steps, it isn't even that bad of an injury! whelp...sigh at least we have meds for this reason, also a pretty weak infection it'll sour her mood and her lefft arms manipulation for a few days but theres no threat to lilys life here

on another note checking through some health pages

turns out yellow been drinking one to many beers :V no addiction or health problems at all but its been enough his bodys starting to get a tolerance, no problem yet still perfectly fine, i'm keeping a bigger eye on yellow though

god damn it lily, she got so frustrated from the infection she tore up her room, broke a few walls, destroyed the lamp, and tore up her bed, fine didn't like your poor furniture i replaced it with normal ones, you better be happy >->

anyway off the home front standard working uni and shish reached their destination to trade, honestly we made quite a lotta money off all the junk and the prisoners, though we did found things to buy

mainly these two dogs~ yay~ anna a female and anti-love a male, nice somewhat old huskys
sadly the caravan ran out off food (those damn prisoners ate everything blargh) so i had to buy about 400 silver worth of meat to keep them all sastiffied, oh well still made a great profit

god damnit, this is literally the same snake that ate buckos other daughter, it literallly ate both females, now we got no more female snakes to lay eggs, my snake farm is over

anyway thats about it, home improvements are basically done, were nearly ready with the hall and were working on expansions for the place while doing daily chores, leave it off with how the peace talks went

though interesting, were still hostile, probably prefer it that way tbh

lol, i don't actually try to, any innuendo line is done purely by accident of how it is in writing :V ya giving katt to much credit in putting in thought, thought is not my forte

yup, though can't make use of it yet, laboratory needs more space to build the upgraded research bench, and of course ya are, ya are team tech a god damn level 18 researcher (apparently the title being a planet class profession) when ya started at 10 , the power of being on the research bench 10-12 hours a day every night :V

It's nice to see that we finally know about OPM Season 2's release time.

I'm personally meh on OPM though, but I might still give Season 2 a watch just for Genos.

I'm kinda iffy on the new season, as I hear most of the staff was just straight up changed.
I'll give it a shot but I don't expect it to be like S1, but hey, I hear a lot of good things about the Garou Arc so...

Don't know why, but I imagined Garou with Red or Blonde hair. At least we hate a date when its coming out, OPM is one of the more interesting action series visually.

Nah, he'll try dropping the moon but then Wonder-Red will show up and the "Press A to Save the Earth!" prompt will appear and they'll knock the moon back to the sky.

anyway thats about it, home improvements are basically done, were nearly ready with the hall and were working on expansions for the place while doing daily chores, leave it off with how the peace talks went

which...pretty well, it wasn't a trap and we reached mutual understanding apparently, relations rose, and uni got some very valuable social experience becoming a better negotiator, trader, and leader

though interesting, were still hostile, probably prefer it that way tbh

I do like how Corrin works mechanically in Fates, a hybrid Manakete sword lord is pretty interesting as a unit, especially when they serve multiple roles on the field. She can switch from serving as a quick ORKO myrmidon-esque lord to a tanky dragon that hits like a truck by switching through equipped items. She can be used for what you need in a variety of situations, not to mention her other utility as a unit. I mostly like Fates for its gameplay and come to ignore most of the story. Its one of those games with a few interesting ideas, but just executes them poorly when it comes to narrative. I hoped IS payed attention on what went wrong with Fates so Three Houses can be better for it though.
