That's on the technical side, and you are right about geht though about that. However, sorry that not what I was mentioning when it comes to Nintendo following industry standards, I aware Video game market are still a bit leaning on graphic and power side of things, but then again it is still what games matters. I want Nintendo have their exclusives while still have that well marketing and third party support.

I think you might be misunderstanding me a bit, I don't mean to invalid its influence, I just find it hard to see exactly what people saw in it. Maybe it's due to how hyped up it is that I had too many expectations for it but that's besides the point, I do believe I could have worded my thoughts better.
And that's still not to say it isn't good, it is VERY good, it's just not what I expected, I guess.

Regardless, I'd like to know if you could point me out to further reading on it. Because if you want to prove me wrong then I guess I could make use of some learning

I'm fine with any of them, but most of the channels that I watch don't have an intro.

I recently watch PlayerEssence video about should Nintendo really just make powerful console? I personally agree with his opinion but I do see some think otherwise that Nintendo should keep their creativity on their games and not on their console.

Just curious what do you guys think? I personally agree that Nintendo is better at doing what they are doing now, but I do wish them stick to the industry standards from time to, which they actually are with the Nintendo Switch, sort of.

I have considered the idea of Nintendo just making a powerful home console to go along with the Switch since it seems that, at this point, "it's a handheld" is the only selling point the Switch has. Literally, nobody talks about the Switch as a home console experience and that is probably due to the fact it's very subpar as a home console experience.

As cool as it would be and as much as they could definitely afford to do it, and as surprised as some might be to hear this from me - I honestly think that, in today's landscape, it doesn't make a lot of sense for Nintendo to do such a thing.

The Switch is successful for no other major reason than it fills a niche, being a "HD" handheld that plays console quality experiences. While there are other little appealing things about the system here and there, if you took away this one major aspect, the Switch wouldn't be near as successful as it is now.

But even if Nintendo did make a powerful home console, even something more powerful than the Xbox One X, I doubt it would do well right now. The Xbox One X and PS4 Pro already have 4K gaming covered for console games and the PS4 especially has a huge install base already. It basically goes back to how the Wii U generation was, where all Nintendo can do to attract consumers is put out loads of great first party titles. And I doubt they could since they haven't been doing so with the Switch.

But this would also introduce the issue of Nintendo having to split resources once again between Switch ("handheld") game development, and Uber 4K machine game development. While some games would release on both, others would not so they have to split their staff between the two. Which was something the Switch was designed to fix, they wanted to unify their staff.

At this point, the only thing that makes sense to me if Nintendo wants to provide cutting edge experiences in their games, is for them to port their exclusives to PC. It would take an awful lot less effort than building a whole new console. However, this is never going to happen anytime soon because of Nintendo's myriad of archaic philosophies and their pride. Just look at how long it took them to get into mobile games, and even then they are taking their sweet time releasing anything there.

At the end of the day, if you want to play Nintendo games and push them to have cutting edge graphics or at least get them close to that level, build yourself a good PC and start emulating those games. Breath of the Wild is already near perfect on CEMU (and should be literally perfect come the next update or two). Switch emulation development only started a few months ago but it's already progressing rapidly and a lot of 2D games are becoming fully playable, and I reckon 3D games will start becoming viable in a few months at this rate. And Dolphin is Dolphin.

I basically had to run past all the enemies in that place especially because of how Blades are affected... by the way, those bats were the only reason I ended up having to retry once or twice before I finally burned down the web to avoid going through the rest of it.

At least in NG+ you can use Shulk and Fiora, who are also immune to the Blade crippling atmosphere. :p

I actually didn’t think clearly enough that Tora and Poppi was immune to the drop even though the game said I could use them. Guess I was just desperate to get out of Elyps. :p

I didn’t actually know you could use the two there since well... it’s been some time since I last played the game.
