OK I need to find some kind of excuse to not get rid of these guys there's so many of them and I hear they breed like rabbits but also the empty tank was super depressing to look at LOL

Holy cow, I just saw a Nintendo Switch commercial on TV that had a montage of games and Smash Ultimate was one of them.

You'd think someone like Barret or Aurhon (might've misspelled) would get in those games eventually. Or one of the dudes in Notics' crew.

Or Grandwizard Wakka wiping out Al-Bhed filth to cleanse Spira.

We already know the full planned roster so far due to a huge datamine leak that happened recently. It's honestly looking pretty good. Plus a load of new outfits, 5th HP attacks are confirmed, and other miscellaneous stuff that may or may not mean something.

The issue is that it takes them way too long to release meaningful updates to the game, especially since they stagger the release of console updates so things can be exclusive to the arcade version for a while.

They went and abandoned the wealth of single-player content from the original PSP games and used "focusing on e-Sports" as an excuse, but they didn't even go the full way on fleshing out the online experience, even without factoring in the horrible connection issues. What that ended up in is a game that ultimately doesn't satisfy either the casual or competitive crowd.

Honestly the whole situation frustrates me. Been thinking about making this the topic of one of my videos.

Damn, sorry to hear all of that. I can see why you're frustrated. That's how a lot of people, myself included felt about MvCI's pandering to the MCU crowd, when other Marvel games had used more X-Men/FF/Spider-Man content and characters in it.

The game does have a scene, and mechanically, it does deserve one, despite its issues that I may have with some mechanics.

I just firmly believe that e-Sports is not an excuse to skip out on adding meaningful content to your €60 game, especially when that game is part of a series known for having loads of content.

I've played so many games that did both successfully so I don't see why developers have taken to using it as an excuse to go light in content.

Dissidia NT also just failed by having super basic online modes anyway and also, I feel they marketed it to the wrong crowd. They went for the FGC crowd when they should have went for the MOBA crowd as the game has more similarities to that genre than traditional fighting games.
