Jakob got the Hone Armor simply because I noticed he seems to die the least often, making him the best candidate to buff Lyn's Blade tome.

You're not gonna be one shotting everything but instead everything else will hit you like a feather.

People are beating dino drama at lv 65 without optimized builds.

I know Lene is not a top tier ( All of your characters in your team are top tier. ), but Lene gives Attack, Defense and Speed buff to anyone she dances with.
Lene can also do some damage.
Ninian: Bright-Eyed Bride would be the better dancing unit though.

Never underestimate a dancer, Shiny.

Back from work and played some Xenoblade 2...
Here is my XC2 DLC Blade Crosette first impression:
- Whoo! Not quest complete required, so it's just that a Nopon comes and give you a core crystal from aunt Conie... bruh wouldn't it be cool if aunt Conie becomes to NPC where you can have more rare Blade resonate rate if you like pay her cash or something?
- For the most part, her English VA average...
- Nia gotta need a fire healer Blade...

As for new functions... the auto battle is crap...

And getting Shulk and Fiora to Alrest... that wasn't too hard lol.

I REALLY want to watch these WarioWare Gold videos that won't stop popping up but I'm waiting until I play the game as I want to go in blind.

It's so funny and weird at the same time for Wario being fully voiced in the game.
The opening where Ashley just hung up Wario's call is super hilarious.

In anime terms yes, but we know trap can mean other things lol.

The only trap character I like so far are Floren from XC2 and Maruruk from Made In Abyss.

Nah, it goes a bit further than that.

It's a male character that not just dresses feminine, but looks, talks, and acts with feminine mannerisms. You literally can't tell they're male (or female if it's the other way around) without being told.

Basically, the character designers drew a female character and hired a female VA and said "he's got a pair".

In anime, it's a bit different than a typical crossdresser and the two are generally used to different effect.

The term "trap" probably comes from the fact that these kind of characters are most commonly found in harem anime, which are about a guy being surrounded by a bunch of cute girls who fall for him, and he spends the series awkwardly dancing around which one he picks. When one of these extremely feminine male characters shows up and is making it clear they like the protagonist, the protagonist has effectively fallen into a trap as both answers to the situation end badly - trying to date the guy means going against the protagonist's sexuality and basically lying to the guy who likes him, but being honest also means hurting the poor guy who probably struggles emotionally as is.

More explicit shows might go a step further and only have the protagonist find out when he's in bed with the guy, which is obviously a whole other kettle of fish.

Totally agreed with your description man, except that I'm not sure if traps are commonly found in harem anime, I don't watch those kind of animes though so probably.

Or what often disappointed me is that... never giving out convincing rebuttals... I remember back when the XC2 opinion debacles happened, this happens a lot... which I was really hoping for a great discussion but oh well... that's social thread for ya.

Everyone is talking about Octopath and I'm over here playing Ys VIII.

I definitely like it so far. The combat is enjoyable and if you aren't paying attention at times you can get hurt pretty bad... although this game has the Breath of the Wild quirk where at any moment you can pause and fast-travel to somewhere on the map so you're never -really- in danger outside of mandatory boss fights.

Exploring the island, growing "Castaway Village", is the best part about it. Discovery and growth go hand-in-hand fairly well. Subsequently, any flaws come from interruptions to that. The game has periods where it kinda loses me, like any time I have to leave the area and characters I've been working on to play the Dana segments. The whole Nameless Ripper segment was a distraction I didn't enjoy, which is surprising because the idea of having a serial killer on an island is a good recipe for my tastes, but it just stuck out like a sore thumb amidst the usual routine.

The soundtrack is very fun, I feel like I should point out.

Also for the record, Hummel is a beast and my favorite to play as. His character is a mixed bag though. He's really cool and principled but... also dumbfounding and he also leaves the party for a while and in RPGs that sucks, especially if you were playing them and investing in them the most.

Oh man... the three JRPGs I got to get are Ys VIII, Ocotpath Traveler, and Valkyria Chronicles 4.

I wan to play Ys VIII to prove that Wood from Beat em Ups is wrong (Or right) when it comes to Ys VIII is somewhat better/enjoyable than XC2.
