So...
What are your stances on used games?
I prefer new copies most of the time if I'm going physical, nothing beats unwrapping a pristine case wrapped in that plastic wrap.
Most used games I see are only €5 cheaper than a new copy, if not more expensive than a new copy. So I don't see it as worth it as the boxes are often tatty or they lack covers or something. Or have fake covers like at CeX.
All of my own boxes have generally been kept in good condition, so if I buy a game, I like it to be that way.
I go digital on PC for the reasons red mentioned. Plus, on my computer, loading screens and such for most games are non-existent. For consoles, I'll go digital if there's a good deal but I generally prefer physical as most console games I buy are part of a franchise that I own other physical copies of.
And yeah I'd rather support the developer/publisher than the retailer. Especially for niche franchises, that used copy of a game in an unproven/niche franchise that you buy doesn't show up on the publisher's sales data, so if people only buy used copies of games, they aren't "speaking with their wallet" despite buying the game. A game could sell a million copies if with used sales taken into account, but since those sales ain't accounted for, it only sells like half of that, which the publisher might see as it being unsuccessful. And then you don't get a sequel or any spin-offs or anything.
