The reason I haven't started my USUM playthrough yet is because I don't know what to do with my team.
Like, I have a specific set of favorite Pokemon from Alola, but I've already used most of them in Sun and I'd rather use Pokemon I haven't used before...
Decidueye is the exception but there's a reason for that (plus I originally wanted to use Primarina or Incineroar), but aside from him the only Pokemon I know I'm going to use on my team is Palossand since he's one of my favorite Alola Pokemon that I haven't used before.
For the record, my team in Sun was Decidueye, Crabominable, Alolan Raichu, Lycanroc, Salazzle, and Golisopd.
Help?
I haven't enjoyed most of what I've played on it so far unlike on Wii U. Mario Odyssey was great but it's nothing mindblowing and I don't think it's the masterpiece critics made it out to be. Four weeks in and I was done with the game 100%. I only own 3 Wii U ports myself and those were purchased for specific reasons. I have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which was the only game I had along with the system for a month until Splatoon launched (the system was a gift) since it had no games, and the first two Bayonetta games were only purchased again because of how much I enjoyed playing them on Wii U. Though nothing will beat the first time playing them, the portability of the system allowed me to go in-depth with the two games, specifically the first one with its last two difficulties.
Paid online, while reasonable from a business standpoint, was instrumental in creating my pessimism way back in January last year. Smash is just another multiplayer game and while I'm looking forward to it like everyone else it's not something to lose my **** over unless I like paying for simple online functionality. Got the funds needed for that junk (Nintendo Switch Online, not Smash Bros.) so I'm ready regardless. It's going to be great. After playing Splatoon three months straight after launch, I found myself getting bored of multiplayer titles (ARMS, Mario Kart, Splatoon, and now Smash coming out) on the thing, but they keep shelling those out. Not that I mind, but I'm not too interested in "sharing the joy" or whatever. Not stating facts or whatever, but I don't think it's that great a system at the moment. It's more on the mixed side. Right now I look forward to Smash again as I mentioned and not much else. I hope they come up with something redeeming for 2019. I do want to fix something that might be a key part on my pessimism and that's my **** taste in games. If I could play Bayonetta and that was out of my comfort zone, then it's best I try other things too. Don't know where to start though. Personally based on the games and the games alone, I'd consider Wii U to be the more enjoyable system right now. Maybe I just bought one at the right time and not at launch, which is why I don't say it's a piece of trash like most Nintendo fans do. Anyway it's just my opinion, not something big to be honest. Just because it's selling well doesn't mean it'll appeal to 100% of the population. Or maybe that's how I see it in my awful view of the world.
I enjoyed the Wii U era because Nintendo was super experimental for a good part of it, and we got a lot of really new and interesting things, such as new IPs like Splatoon and stuff like them making partnerships with third parties with stuff like Hyrule Warriors and Bandai Namco developing Smash. Even though some things were disappointing, it was a lot easier to get excited since Nintendo Directs and the like were always so unexpected.
I've had the Switch for a year at this point and have only bought four games for it, one of them I could have gotten on Wii U, and another I actually also have on PS4 and PC. There just hasn't been nearly enough unique experiences on the Switch for my tastes, and especially there's been a lack of first party single-player games that aren't ports. So I haven't had a lot that interests me. Nintendo Directs are basically 80% third party ports now, which is great for Nintendo-only gamers or those who only play handheld, but for someone like me those Nintendo Directs amount to "oh hey look at all these cool games I've already been playing for a year elsewhere", or "oh this upcoming game looks cool, I'll get it on PS4/PC for a cheaper price and with better visuals and performance".
From a personal standpoint, I only buy Nintendo systems for their exclusive games, and the Switch has been severely lacking there, especially for single-player games.
It doesn't matter if they see it but don't respond.
I'm super bored and I just had an urge to do these Pokemon playthrough updates that I used to do back in 4.0, but I need help with planning my team.
First response, so thank you for that. Anyway, I'll give my two cents on all of these Pokemon:
Toucanon: I can see it at least being a temporary team member since it's a pretty good early game mon. That said, considering Decidueye can cover flying with Brave Bird just fine I don't see much of a point in keeping him around in the long run.
Vikavolt: I don't think I want to carry a Pokemon that doesn't fully evolve until very late in the game in my party. My expirience with Crabrawler tought me it's not a very good idea. Charjabug also has the issue of being a physical attacker that evolves into a special attacker, and I'm not a fan of Vikavolt in general.
Alolan Marowak: I have two ghost types on my team and I don't feel like going out of my way to farm thick clubs to make its attacking power actually useful. I'll pass.
Kommo-o: It's too late in the game imo. I prefer having a full team by that point.
Other notes: I think a water type is neccesary, and I need at least one team member with a speed stat that's higher than 100. Granted, there aren't many Gen 7 Pokemon that are like that, but USUM does have a lot of previous Gen mons.
Edit: Welp, since I'm not getting any responses, I'm just gonna switch my team around every now and then and settle for something by the end of the game. Still using Decidueye and Palossand tho.
I mean, full disclosure, if I didn't care enough to respond to it the first time, I'm not going to reconsider when it's reposted. If anything the spamminess of it would make me not want to respond. Just kind of reeks of desperation and unless your name is Shanna that's not a good thing.
Welp, I have some news: I might have to move to my aunt's house for a while soon.
In case anyone is unaware, I live in Israel, a country with a track record for making enemies.
Recently there have been reports that one of our enemies is planning to fire at the city I live in, so my mother is considering taking me and my sisters somewhere safer.
If we end up going then I'll be taking my laptop and my 3DS with me so I'll keep talking to you guys, but I still felt that I should tell you guys anyway. Might take my Wii U with me as well since I don't know how long I'll be gone and I don't want to lose it if god forbid my house gets destroyed.
But anyway I just had to tell you all about that. I'm pretty annoyed (and worried because my cat will be left alone with no one to feed him), but either way I'll keep in touch.

okay heres my second wave of sugestions
Ribombee, wishiwashi, komala, Alolan sandslash this way you get 2 pokemon per island for the first three isalnds
Cuphead completely kills it, imo. The devs stated that it's gonna be exclusive to Microsoft platforms.
Also, it's in 8 days.... those 8 days are going to be reaaaaaally long.
the FF7 Remake; with how it recently started over and we never saw anything since 2015, how would a Switch port be the first thing we know, let alone possible?
KH3; this would be E3 news, assuming it’s even possible.
MKX; remember how that game never got a port on PS3 and 360 despite being announced?
Mother 3D; when they officially release a Mother game outside of Japan, it’s ALWAYS called EarthBound, not Mother.

Yeah... but Xenogears and Xenoblade have almost no direct connection to each other, and the battle gameply is totally different. I'm more fond of Xenoblade's action turn based but Xenogears is both more traditional but also more complicated.
I don't know if it has been posted here but the download size for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been revealed: You're going to need at least 16 GB (to compare, Smash Wii U needs 15.6 GB) Nintendo of Japan already has a preorder on their website that includes a digital download code of the game plus the physical game case (no game card included).
I'm planning to pick it up digitally and thankfully I have more than enough space on my micro SD card to do so.
It brands itself as an open-world game where you have the freedom to do things, but most moons, even the ones outside of the bonus rooms, end up being incredibly linear in nature, forcing you to follow a set path.
It honestly feels closer to Galaxy 1 than it does to Mario 64. Not that it's a bad thing since the Galaxy games are great too, just... feels like false advertising.
Yeah, but that's you only trying to beat the based game. After finishing the main story, that's when you really have to explore and try to find moons that are either easy to find or hard to find or get. So unlike Galaxy or 3D World when it's just only one way finish, Odyssey is where you really go and try to explore every corner in all kingdoms. I have yet to get all moons due to me playing other games but I can't wait to 100% finish it.
A Wii U port that was also a game from a 3D World mini game? As someone who doesn't care about Wii U ports that much, instead of complaining and demand more new games to come out, all I do is just ignore it as usual... and .... try to get Octopath Traveler as soon as I can lol.
And speaking of Octopath Traveler, according to good ol Twitter, I saw OJ from PlayerEssence mentioning some Twitter users say the Octopath Traveler shouldn't worth 60$ and it isn't a AAA game because of its visual style...
Personally, while I think that statement is crap if you bring up The Order 1886, but I can see where they came from. Remember, it is a myth that only games look graphically real should worth 60$
So,I'm guessing that you start with/finish Primrose's chapter?
And hm, I know we already have the discussion on Discord already, I know you may be bothered by this but I still want to share my thoughts on why most people prefer the Nintendo Switch and also... really sorry for saying this but... why it's somewhat hard to understadny our preference, not saying that you are wrong of course just... somewhat mid bogging to some extent.
I haven't enjoyed most of what I've played on it so far unlike on Wii U. Mario Odyssey was great but it's nothing mindblowing and I don't think it's the masterpiece critics made it out to be. Four weeks in and I was done with the game 100%.
It's tough to understand when you just say it is nothing mindblowing and have no points to back it up...
I mean I get that there will be some people don't consider Odyssey the best, but compare the past Mario sandbox 3D games, Odyssey just has the wow factor of going kingdoms with unique traits, use Cappy to get through obstacles, many mini games to do, and last but not least, collection every single moons and beat the last part of the game. It's quite an amazing feat if you manage to 100% Odyssey in four weeks.

I don't man, the more I look into your opinion the more I found how contradicting it is... at least that's how I think
But first, please aware that Paid Online won't be out until fall of this year, and second, since you mention that you are bored with multiplayer titles, Paid Online shouldn't really be a bother to you. You can still connect to Wifi, browse eshop and purchase games, the only things you won't access is playing multiplayer games online and backup save files via cloud. For like this with retro games to play with only 20$ per year, that's a steal imo.
So yeah, I get that you awre your opinion is the minority, but yep, it is true that you need to get out of your comfort zone and play other games. Let's face it, the fact that you consider Wii U better than Switch is because you mostly look at the first party and Wii U ports of Switch and not much of the new games on Switch is consistently releasing month after month. Let's face it, Switch in general is really a way better console compare to the Wii U, I know that people can have their own opinions when it comes to which console you enjoyed the most, but that doesn't change that fact that Ninrendo Switch is the better console to play on and while Wii U is still a decent console to play, it had plenty of issue that cause it's commercial failure, and I'm not just talking about Nintendo's marketing on the system.
Yeah... I remember I once ask people what do they think about me 4 years ago (Not in this social thread though), and while I got some pretty useful replies, you do have some say that I should stop asking others think about me lol.
From a personal standpoint, I only buy Nintendo systems for their exclusive games, and the Switch has been severely lacking there, especially for single-player games.
I'll get one part later in the bit, with some clarifications on my thoughts on Wii U first before you call me a Nintendo Switch fanboy lol.
While I have never ever bought a Wii U for my own, my brother bought the Wii U back in 2015 in order to play MK8, Splatoon and Smash Bros... and that's it... that's all we got. Even so we did have fun, only in the holiday because that's the only time when we can get together
I really really dislike the fact that Wii U and 3DS having region lock, getting 3DS games weren't that hard due to 3DS selling well, but for me getting an English imported Wii U was difficult because not a lot of sellers even bother to import Wii U.
Wii U while the console itself was okay, I was never a fan of the gamepad, the screen looks meh, and the controller overall just felt like a toy to me. And now Wii U Pro Controller, 80 hours of battery is neat, but it lacked gyro and felt cheap... my brother's Wii U Pro even ultimately have its battery dead...
Sorry for being again, obsessed with Nintendo Switch, but you can't use that as a criticism for my opinion because Nintendo Switch, get this, is a way better console compare to Wii U. It's smaller, sleek design, you can play it on the go or on TV, and last but not least, no region lock. And since Switch is easier and cheaper to get, I can finally be able to play games with my brothers such as Splatoon 2 and Fortnite.
Besides that... with the same advice I give for Flight, you should try to get out of your gaming comfort zone when it comes. You definitely know this but third party support is a crucial thing for a console to prosper, and this has also been a thing that many were bashing the Wii U for..thanks to Nintendo Switch's getting third party support, and the ports I want are now on Switch.
For me at least, Nintendo Switch is hands down my most favorite console of all time, even surpassing the Gamecube that I adore.
It is definitely not a bad thing for Direct to focused 80% on third party ports, not to mention your later statement definitely does not sum up entire PS4/PC users (And for Nintendo only gamers you mean... those who only owns Nintendo consoles? True, but not everyone has the ability to buy all console platform just to let you know). While yes, some may not be interested on those ports, but you will have other side that wishes to play those ports both on TV and on the go.
Just look at Fortnite as an example, I will definitely not get PS4 version at all because they block crossplay, as for PC I will play Fortnite competitively on my PC, but if I want to grind for some stuff or just play it leisurely, I will play it on my Switch from time to time.
I got Skullgirls on my PC during the Halloween discount last year within 8$ (Since you mention how cheap games are on other platforms, that's actually one of the reason why I'm willing to double dip on Switch version. I didn't spend that much, and PC and Switch version runs the same fps, therefore when the port comes I am willing to pay it for standard price. ), but I am still excited to get Switch version because again, you can playing it anywhere, and I want the physical version, also more better access to play the game with my brother (Who has been playing the **** out of BBTCB on Switch). Even he said he can't wait for the Switch version to come out after he tried the game on my PC.
I am planning to buy PS4 for a while now, with that Blue PS4 Slim being released, I just can't wait to get one.

Well I got someone from this banner finally!
There was only one colorless and 3 blues. Robin was the only five star from it but that’s alright. She was on my wanted list due to her tankness.
She’s plus hp minus def which is alright but at least she doesn’t hurt her best stats. So not bad. Now to try for tiki linde and takumi!

I can say with certainty that you are a bit obsessed with the Switch when, in the same sentence where you claim I can't do that, you proceed to literally give me a sales pitch for the thing.
You know what's the most annoying part about all this? I was supposed to start taking out dogs for walks tomorrow.
Now I can't because I'll be forced to leave my neighborhood for a while.
I hate this country so much. I want to leave it as soon as I can.

Yeah that's what I ended up deciding.
I'm still going to use Decidueye and Palossand in my final team, but using many different Pokemon along the way would be a nice change of pace from how I usually play the game.
That said, I'm making it a point to only use Pokemon that I've never used before (unless I don't feel that I've used them "properly" such as when I used cheat codes to get a Heracross in my first HeartGold playthrough.
So Yo Kai Watch is kinda retooling itself, embracing some of the horror elements it had before. Even the mascots of the franchise got redesigns.
I actually really like this. It helps it stand out from the other monster collecting franchises by not being too cutesy (Pokemon) or too "cool" (Digimon). Plus it ties into Yokai mythology better.
Let's start with the cons so we can end on a good note.
You constantly use the victim card whenever bad things happen to or because of you
You can never pick up context in a post
You never think before posting, leaving to many upsetting situations, most notably the one in Shish's second Mafia game
You're constantly seeking for attention
You're a drama queen, constantly making a mountain out of a mere road bump
You try to imitate us instead of just being yourself despite us saying this very advice to you at least a hundred times
Speaking of... you never listen to our opinions despite the following con
You're extremely dependant on the opinion of complete stangers, to the point where you value theirs over your own family's (which, again, isn't saying much since you don't listen to us in the first place)
You're self-deprecative in ways that aren't even used for humor, instead being solely about beating yourself up (a lot less than before, yeah, but not completely gone)
You barely changed during your two-week hiatus because you didn't even make any effort to work on yourself despite the fact that it was the exact reason you took that hiatus to begin with
Pretty much this kiddo. That's why I decided to pull the trigger and will only stop that fully once I've seen you mature a bit and stop dragging the attention to yourself. Wanting attention is one thing, but being an attention ***** isn't. That's why this place has many awkward times and conversations because of how you bring things up Shiny. Like I said before, grow the **** up and perhaps post in some other places for the time being to see how you can learn about yourself and improve on. That's what I did many years ago on another forum and became a better user overall after said adjustments. So until you decide to stop doing the stuff Uni mentioned on the cons and try to become a better user, I don't think there's going to be any kinds of improvements...period.
It is for me. I have to miss my great niece's second birthday party today because I called a bylaws meeting way in advance...and it happens in less than an hour lol
The reason I haven't started my USUM playthrough yet is because I don't know what to do with my team.
