Actually, I do have to say that Sinnoh's starters are all very close to each other when it comes to favorites. Tor won me a tour once and Emp and Inf are both just bad***.
I tend to go for the grass starter, apparently. This is actually unintentional lol, I only noticed I choose grass starters a lot after Gen 6 and doing some reflecting.
That said, I do generally tend to like all sets of starters. Exceptions are Gen 4, where none are standouts to me, Gen 1, where I have an intense dislike for Charizard and Gen 5 where Samurott kinda ****s the bed for me.
Gen 1: Blastoise, Charizard, Venasaur
Gen 2: Feraligatr, Typhlosion, Meganium
Gen 3: Sceptile, Swampert, Blaziken
Gen 4: Empoleon, Torterra, Infernape
Gen 5: Samurott, Emboar, Serperior
Gen 6: Greninja, Chesnaught, Delphox
Gen 7: Primarina, Incineroar, Decidueye
I love all of the gen 4 starters, gen 6 is probably close too, I just haven't used Decidueye yet, mostly because I missed out on Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon. But my list goes something like this.
1. Sceptile
2. Torterra
3. Empoleon
4. Feraligater
5. Incineroar(I don't care what people think, Wrestler flame cat>>>>>>Normal flame cat. And yes, dark type makes more sense than fighting type, it's clearly a heel)
6. Charizard
7. Tylophosion
8. Primarina
9. Blastoise
10. Blaziken
11. Swampert
12. Venasaur
13. Emboar
14. Meganium
15. Greninja
16. Delphox
17. Serperior
18. Samurott
19. Chesnaught
20. Pikachu

Gen 6: Greninja, Chesnaught, Delphox
Gen 7: Primarina, Incineroar, Decidueye
Not just Entei, but a lot of characters out there in general. Sometimes I look at an image of my favorite characters and wonder if Yoshi's nose starts inside his mouth or how weird it is for Crash's arms to begin right under his ears at the same height of his mouth because he has no neck. It's better to just don't think too much about it.
As for my favorite starter pokemons for each gen:
gen 1: Charizard
gen 2: Typhlosion
gen 3: Sceptile
gen 4: Torterra
gen 5: I don't like any of them lol. I guess i'll just say Snivy
gen 6: Greninja
gen 7: Decidueye

Now for my favorite legendary of each generation ( changed it up ).
Generation I: Mewtwo by a long shot. Generation II: Ho-Oh ( Edit: Lugia is extremely close ) Generation III: Rayquaza, because of one thing: It's mega form. Kyogre and Groundon are close. Generation IV: Really hard to chose from ( I love Arceus, Giratina, Dialga and Palkia ), but I might have to chose Giratina only by a very little bit. Generation V: Keldeo ( I am not a My Little Pony fan ) Generation VI: Yvetal Generation VII: Necrozma Dusk Mane
No love for Emboar judging from the users. I do agree it looks ugly, but it's shiny design is great and I like trolling with it in battle.
Reckless Ability + Choice Band + Flare Blitz + Max IVS + Max Attack EVs + Adamant = Destruction in some cases.
Gen 1: Zapdos(Metwo is an edgy fetus)
Gen 2: Ho oh(Lugia is very close)
Gen 3: Groudon(Lots of legionaries I like this gen, Rayquaza, Kyogre, and Deoxys are pretty close)
Gen 4: Giratina(All hail Stan)
Gen 5: Reshiram(Zekrom is close)
Gen 6: Yveltal
Gen 7: Necrozmama
> - > I guess I could try doing the fave starter thing:
Charizard - I used to be a huge Charmander fan back in the day xD I was little so, I think I remember I got pretty sad when I couldn't get one of these Charmander shaped pillows. And I like dragons.
Typhlosion - Pretty cool looking and CYNDAQUIL IS CUTE AS HECK...cough.
Blaziken - Not much to say about this one, but Torchic melts my heart (no pun intended)
I...would say none, but since I won a Turtwig plushie (adorable btw) in a fair at a target shooting game, I'm gonna say Torterra.
Serperior all the way, I like snakes after all. And it being a regal one is even better.
I liked Fennekin at first...but after seeing how it turns out of be in the end...I will say none.
Primarina, the beauty of beauties. I love seals/sea lions and mermaids. I have always had a thing for cute unappreciated underdogs, and poor Pops indeed needed love, which was worth it, because it left everyone wordless in the end.
Swampert is one of my favorite Pokemon, though Blaziken is cool too. Never cared for Sceptile all that much.
Generaiton 4: Empoleon > Infernape > Torterra
My favorite starter batch. Empoleon is definitely my favorite of the three. Infernape is one I've been warming up to recently, mainly because of Ash's Infernape in the anime (arguably has the best character arc out of all of Ash's Pokemon, a very touching one too). Though my least favorite of the three, Torterra is cool too.
Generation 1: Zapdos for battling, Articuno based on looks
Generation 2: Easily Suicune, though Lugia is pretty cool too.
Generation 3: Latios. Quite the nostalgic Pokemon for me because of Pokemon Heroes. It also has a cool design and makes an awesome special sweeper. Honorable mentions go to Groudon, Jirachi, and Deoxys.
Generation 4: Shaymin Sky Forme for sure. It's one of my favorite Pokemon. Honorable mentions would go to Dialga (my favorite mascot legendary), Arceus, Darkrai, Cresselia, Giratina, Palkia, Manaphy, and Azelf (I really liked the legendaries of this generation).
Generation 5: Meloetta. My favorite generation 5 and one of my favorite Pokemon overall. It has a very cute design and a cool, fun gimmick. Honorable mentions go to Reshiram and Cobalion.
Generation 6: Zygarde's Complete Form. That thing looks awesome! Honorable mention to Yveltal for being my favorite of the XY mascot legendaries.
Generation 7: Tapu Koko. Cool design, awesome battler that pulled me through the battle tree, and a fun character in the anime. Honorable mentions go to Solgaleo, Silvally, Ultra Necrozma, Tapu Lele, and Zeraora.
I usually pick the Water starters in every generation (yes, including generation 5).
These are actually pretty good if fake. The designs are solid, the japanese is on point and implies that three different people worked on them which is natural, as we see each starter is usually made by someone else.
Only real thing I would say is that they put Ash there and that could be to further replicate the Sun and Moon Starter leaks or maybe the anime department ****** up again and let leaks slip.
Anyway here's the images:
Ash also has a new hat that looks pokeball like if this is real.
Thoughts? I think they look pretty good and hope they are real. The water one is awesome.
These starters actually look believable, especially compared to the last batch. I really like all three of them, but if I had to pick one, the Water-starter wins yet again. That platypus looks adorable! The lemur and the rabbit look good too.
I have a feeling the Platypus would evolve into a Water/Poison-type judging by how the concept art mentions how it has "poison spurs" similar to a normal platypus.
The winner of the last poll was Tyranitar. Hitmontop and Slowking were evenly tied, but at least close to first place in comparison to the poor Ursaring. Just wanted to avoid a hibernation joke.
Now we begin with the generation that was all about horns in the soundtrack and most of the options are the starters of Gen 3. Your picks are Blaziken, Swampert, Sceptile, and Mawile.
There was a problem fetching the tweet
Got to say, Sceptile's Smash following sure did die since the last time I seen it....
Oh my gosh, that water starter! It's so cy-ooooooooot!
The rabbit looks a bit too empty eyed for me, and the monkey just looks like it's been celebrating a certain unofficial holiday in April a bit too long. Monkey definitely looks like it's primed for a gimmick of showing it's equipped berry in it's tail as an animation quirk, though.
*scrolls down on ResetERA to see half the first page of the thread discussing it recoiling in disgust at the designs*
Geez, who peed in their cereal? There isn't even an obvious gonk in this set like the past three gens if real.
