Something that's unrelated to the post, can you please list non spoiler tips of how to get all RNG rare Blades? I aware @Mythra Had gave me some tips, but I need a proper one...

Okay, I wanted to share this little experience I had with some friends recently, and ask you guys your opinion in this matter.

So, I met and old friend from school I didn't see in months. He's a "casual" in terms of videogames, but I invited him to play some Smash. He started talking non-stop about Monster Hunter World and how great of a game it is (we used to play Freedom 2 together, so is one of our childhood games), and I told him that I'd buy that game later, since right now I'm satisfied with the Switch and I don't really need any more games at the moment. Then he replied by saying that Nintendo isn't cool anymore, and that Mario was a kids game. Since he doesn't play as much videogames as I do, I didn't give it much more thought.

However, I talked about this with my closest friend, who does play a lot of games, and he's a very big fan of Pokémon, Zelda, you name it. He replied that saying that the other guy was right, Mario was for kids, and so is Pokémon, even though we play those games.

I want to remark that it's very different calling something a "kids game" and a game for everyone. I think Nintendo games are made for everyone, not specifically for kids. Sure, they can also enjoy them, but that's the beauty of Nintendo, making games enjoyable for all ages. That's why I'm so mad at this second friend, because I don't understand why he sees Nintendo like this, and just went and called me a Nintendo fanboy for defending that their games are for everyone.

So, am I wrong? How do you guys see Nintendo games? I want to know your opinion on this subject too.

I think Nintendo is both for kids and teens/adults. So yes, for everyone. What's wonderful about Nintendo games is that they are popular amongst all age ranges because of how well-made they are, how fun they are, nostalgia factor, etc. Your first friend who called you a Nintendo fanboy doesn't seem to be willing to see anything from your perspective. There are people like that everywhere, unfortunately.

As far as your second friend is concerned, I wouldn't say Mario games are only meant for kids anyway. People of all ages have been playing Mario games even as far back as 1981. They're well-made, fun, even better with friends...just because something doesn't have overly dark themes or consistently dim colors for graphics and designs doesn't make it only for kids.

tl;dr Mario is for everyone, and writing off an entire company or franchise simply for perceiving it as a "kids" game, is shallow.

You could have tag me you know?

Now, for the actual question.

I don't know what Mythra said to you, so if I say some stuff he already said, then I am sorry in advance.

Also, my tips aren't any "proper" than others tips you might have seen. The thing is, we don't know yet if the RNG in Xenoblade 2 work in some way, or is just totally up to luck. Some peoples can't get KOS-MOS while being at the endgame and using legendary crystal. While others did get her as soon as chapter 2 or halfway through the game.

In any case, here all the tip I can give you:

-Advance in the game, yes, I know what I said before. But something tell me that, as more as you advance in the game, the more chance you have to get the blades you want.

-Salvage alot to get lots of item that you can exchange for boosters. If you want a ground blade, using alot of boosters of that element to increase your chance to get blade.

-Fill up your current blades, rare or commons, affinity chart, so that, your level of "justice", "ideas" and other stats like that will go uo, increasing again your chance to get a blade of a certain type along with the boosters.

-Get Legendary or Rare Core, the easiest way is to pull alot of driver combo on Unique monsters of high level. The best monsters to farm being the baby ardun once leveled up, and a really easy superbosses in Tantal. However, the later is only open at the very end of the game. And the former can only be here if you haven't killed him and given all the food he want until he become a unique monster.

-Increase your luck state, there is two way to do this. By putting equipements that increase your luck, and putting common blades that increase your luck too.

This post is honestly 100% true and you could have not said it better. I hate the Sony, Microsoft and Valve fanboys who always brush us off because they think any game Nintendo makes is for little kids. "Lol, no 4k, no blood or big breasts bad game", the Sony, Microsoft or Valve fanboys tell us all the time. We bring up games ( Fire Emblem, XC2 ) then they say that they are for kids! UGH. They hate us just because our graphics are inferior to them and that Nintendo never makes dark games. You are right, Nintendo is for everyone. A fun family game. Gosh I hate Sony, Microsoft and Valve fanboys, always trying to start fights one another over graphics. I MEAN THEY LOOK THE EXACT SAME THING UGGGH. At least Nintendo and their fans brushes the fighting off and hides in the corner, where they peacefully lurk and discuss the hype new Mario game or something.

Nintendo games are for kids, but they're not only for kids. Anyone of any age can enjoy Nintendo games. Like Hats already pointed out, saying they're solely "just for kids" is ignorant, no offense.

Your first friend wants to classify Nintendo games "for kids", fine. Doesn't make them less fun. He doesn't like Nintendo, or wants to understand your argument that Nintendo's for everyone, his loss. VG characters like Link are one of my most favorite and I'm not going to forget Wind Waker away b/c someone says they're "not cool anymore." I never got into Pokemon because I just wasn't interested, and Xenoblade series looks dope. It helps with people telling me to go into it numerous times before.

Although I will agree in him saying that Monster Hunter World looks amazing. I remember when my older brother tried to get me into the PSP games, and I didn't like it that time, now I'm interest in the PS4 deal.

Oh btw, Opossum's argument last night is hilarious to me as his reasoning is JUST like a Kamen Rider who uses the power of animals. Only difference is that Opopo isn't homeless as far as I know
And the stuff yeaterday reminded me when a professor at my college save a ****ing frog from a snake, not even knowing what time a snake it was, like, Virginia has poisonous snakea, fan

Just because something is made for kids doesn't mean adults can't enjoy it either. That's really the bottom line. We prove it in our everyday lives, and not just with video games. Cartoons and collector's items are two big examples- you got the big MLP boom that happened awhile back and some people collect things that would be seen as children's toys.

How do you guys see Nintendo games? I want to know your opinion on this subject too.
Kind of a tangential way to sum up my thoughts:

The ESRB suggests to us a minimum age a game is appropriate for.

Nothing tells us a maximum.

Only difference is that Opopo isn't homeless as far as I know
Plot twist. :awesome:

Apparently my suster says its warm outside and its only 49° and idk if I trust her enough to open my window
If you're bundled up or a naturally warm person you might be okay.

Otherwise I suspect blatant lies.

Can you play the game and still have fun?

If Yes, then it doesn't matter....

10 yo's play CoD and GTA all the time, so called 'Adult' games, yet adults can't play so called 'Kids' games...

Nintendo's always had games that are family friendly in a way that makes them appealing towards kids, literally always...nothing's changed...and the main purpose for this is because they want their games to be more accessible to all ages...Rated E for "Everyone" for a reason...

Let me say this albeit rather late. A kid show that focuses on selling plastic toys had an episode about how terrible murder is for everyone, even if it was justified for self defence or war. It's traumatic for the friends and family of the victim, traumatic for the friends of the murderer and in this case it was traumatic for the murderer himself and the rest of the episode dealt with his PTSD on that. A show for little kids did that and it was only 2 weeks ago

I think at the point you have a game marketed to kids, and enjoyed primarily by kids, it's a kids' game. Now, that's not to say it can't be enjoyed by adults as well, but to call it a kids's game, imo, would not be incorrect.

Think of like a Pixar movie. It's marketed to kids, it's primarily watched by kids; it's a kids' movie, but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed by adults as well. However, to call it a kids' movie is much less contested than the topic of video games, because, I guess, gamers feel infantilized by the term "kids' game".

Personally, when people tell me the games I like are "kids' games" I usually just respond with "still fun though". And after an hour of Mario Kart or Smash or whatever, they tend to agree. That said, the only people who tell me I'm playing kids' games, are, ironically, younger than myself. xD

I wouldn't get caught up in labels. If a game is fun, if you're enjoying it, that's really all that matters.

Here is how I view it.
Just because some games are more kid-friendly than others doesn't mean the teens and adults can enjoy them as well.
And while a lot of Nintendo games are meant for all ages, there are definitely some (such as Metroid, Fire Emblem, and Xenoblade) that are meant for an older audience. Heck, even some of the more kid-friendly franchises have their dark/creepy moments (such as most Kirby final bosses and Lavender Town from the original Pokemon games).
Honestly, just play what you enjoy, because what matters most is that you enjoy playing those games.

Glad to see that Meowth's fandom had never died since he was the winner. But it was far from one-sided, both Sandslash and Alakazam were pretty close. But Machoke? He simply failed that first Pokemon exam. lol

But here's round two of Generation 1, with at least one familiar veteran that many of you may miss. Your picks are Machamp, Gengar, Blastoise, and Ivysaur.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Good luck.

Also, fwiw, when I was back in town for xmas, I grabbed some drinks with my brother, who is almost forty, and his friends. And much of the conversation revolved around how they were all picking up the SNES Classics and ending up the ones playing through Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country instead of their kids.

Was nostalgia a factor? Sure. But a fun game is a fun game, age is irrelevant.

Congratulations to love! Love is more important than money!
When you're young and parents buy **** for you anyway, yeah, money really doesn't matter.

But when you grow older and realize that you gotta live on your own, money. is. EVERYTHING.

EDIT: Heck, you even stated multiple times that you wanted to focus more on education than love. You're literally saying an opinion that's opposite to how you do things. Truly, a bandwagon who just follows whichever opinion is the more popular.

Man, pulling a full burst with 8 orbs is the greatest feeling ever. When I start my new game +, I will have to do that on the final boss, just for the sake of it.
