Nah, let's have it be a 3rd Donkey Country Returns, that brings back Lanky, Tiny, Chunky and the rest of the Kong clan, cause hey, now that Funky is playable, Candy can be the shop keep again.
OK, I'm just gonna go ahead and say some random thing I've been unconsciously holding back.
I don't think Steamed Hams is funny.
It's like the average sitcom plotline condensed into a moderately exaggerated situation. Just a long, extended awkward scenario with no real payoff. I mean, there's plenty of memes I think are unfunny, but at least I can see either the applications they have in conversation or some level of dadaistic value to them. Steamed hams is just...nothing. At most it's the same kind of uncomfortable semi-humor that airs 8-10PM on weekdays on every other channel, just without a laugh track shoehorned in.
I mean, I can appreciate the effort a lot of people put into editing it, but...why this?

Coricus: "Why are there bad memes coming out of your oven, Shishœ?"
Shishœ: "Uh- Oh. Those aren't bad memes. They're ****posts. ****posts from my Smashboards history. Mmm. ****posts."

Steamed Hams is one of the most textbook examples of the general plot progression and comic timing of a comedy sitcom scene. Kinda like how you described it. The scene is basically "how to sitcom 101".
This means you can easily edit the scene to fit any given context or pop culture reference you want to make. It's just elegant in it's simplicity and can be deconstructed in such a way to where you could make it fit with anything.
I was gonna make like an "Irish Edition" as an example of how easy it is to re-contextualise the scene, but Shishœ and Opossum already demonstrated that for me.

That entire episode, 22 Short Films About Springfield, was parodying various sitcom tropes. The boss comes over for dinner, something goes wrong, everything turns out okay in the end is a classic sitcom episode. But in the Simpsons universe, it ends with Skinner's entire house on fire.
But it also builds on a seasons long running joke of Skinner telling increasingly more convoluted lies and Chalmers believing them, to the point where he can convince Chalmers a raging fire in his kitchen is actually just the northern lights.

Why didn't they include Hyper SF2 in this? Why didn't they include Hyper SF Alpha in this?
****, why didn't they just make a MUGEN style game where you could play as all the characters from all these game (except SF1) in their original sprites and everything? It'd be unbalanced as **** but who cares, it would've been SOMETHING. Like damn, even Ultra SF2 had new stuff. Even the Mega Man Legacy Collections had the Challenges and the MMX ones are adding a dual boss rush mode.

MARIO: Well, Link, I made it...despite your directions.
LINK: Ah, Company Mascot Mario! Welcome! I hope you're ready for an unforgettable luncheon!
MARIO: Uhh...
LINK: [gasps] Oh Hylia, my roast is ruined! But what if...I were to purchase power-ups and disguise them as my own cooking? [to himself] Oh ho ho ho ho...delightfully Ganon-ish, Link!
[cue song]
Link with his crazy explanations,
The company mascot's gonna need his 1-up Mushroom,
When he hears Link's lame exaggerations,
There'll be trouble in Hyrule tonight!
[end of song]
MARIO: Link!
LINK: Company Mascot, I was just, uh...just practicing my new jumping mechanics on the windowsill! Debugging exercise! Care to join me?
MARIO: Why is there smoke coming out of your cooking pot, Link?
LINK: Uhh...no! That isn't smoke. It's steam. Steam from the Steamed Sunshrooms we're having! Mmm...steamed sunshrooms! [beat] Ooh...
[a few moments later]
LINK: Company Mascot, I hope you're ready for mouthwatering Mushrooms!
MARIO: I thought we were having steamed sunshrooms.
LINK: D'oh, no. I said steamed mushrooms! That's what I call shroom power-ups!
MARIO: You call shroom power-ups "steamed mushrooms"?
LINK: Yes. It's a regional dialect!
MARIO: Uh-huh...uh, what region?
LINK: Uhh...PAL?
MARIO: Really? Well, I'm from Italy, and I've never heard anyone use the phrase "steamed mushrooms".
LINK: Oh, not in Italy, no. It's a British expression.
MARIO: I see. [beat] You know, these mushrooms are quite similar to the ones they have at the Toad House.
LINK: Oh ho ho ho... no, patented Link mushrooms! Old Hylian Hero recipe!
MARIO: For steamed mushrooms?
LINK: Yes.
MARIO: Yes, and you call them "steamed mushrooms" despite the fact they are obviously grilled.
LINK: Ye- hey- you know, the- one thing I should- excuse me for one second.
MARIO: Of course.
LINK: [YAWN] Well, that was wonderful. A good time was had by all, I'm out of stamina.
MARIO: Yes, I should be- Mama Mia, what is happening in there!?
LINK: Nintendo Direct?
MARIO: Uh- Nintendo Direct!? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the world, localised entirely within your kitchen!?
LINK: Yes!
MARIO: ...May I see it?
LINK: ...No.
ZELDA: Link, the house is on fire!
LINK: No, Zelda- it's just the trailer for the new Super Smash Bros.
MARIO: Well, Link, you are an odd fellow, but I must say...you steam a good shroom.
ZELDA: Help! Help!
The time I spent figuring this out is time I should be spending on my Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fanfic.
