While I’m on a Warriors binge.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Dynasty Warriors. I was introduced to the franchise through Samurai Warriors 2 Empires and I’ve been keeping up with that series since. I played the spinoffs; Warriors Orochi, Warriors: Legends of Troy, Bladestorm, Gundam, etc. but I only really played Dynasty Warriors Next when I got my Vita, and Strikeforce. I have to say though, the open world structure of Dynasty Warriors 9 is VERY appealing to me. I’ve always thought an open world Warriors game would be incredible and now it’s happening. Looks like I might finally become a Dynasty fan.

I was gonna mention how this reminded me of the Twin Stans theory. Though I think that was way more huge in the community and was actually standing still when the reveal came.
Pink is Rose has always been a theory ever since we knew about Diamonds but it has had its up and downs of credibility.

But holy ****, did they make it work. While I love the buildup to the Author's reveal, I kinda like the casual tone Rose's reveal got more. Her and Pearl's conversation is probably one of my favorite scenes now.

Spoiler: Steven Universe

It was certainly more widespread and accepted by the GFs community than this theory was for the SU community, but I still can't help but be reminded of it. This theory had a rocky life up until now, but it turned out to be correct in the end. They totally called this one.

It was indeed a calm and casual scene at first, which definitely helped make the reveal more sudden and shocking. And yeah, the conversation was a great part of that scene. Not sure how I feel about Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond now, looking back and thinking about all the events that followed after her decision, but I'm sure things like that will be addressed in later episodes.

I need to say some more things. I just can't get over last night's episodes.

Spoiler: More Steven Universe spoilers

There's a lot of older things in the show that are nigh-impossible to look at the same way anymore, but one stand-out example to me is Jasper's whole situation; if her drive for revenge wasn't meaningless before (trying to avenge her Diamond by destroying a target that essentially no longer existed) it's beyond meaningless now. It's pure dramatic irony. The Gem she hated was really the same Diamond she worshiped, the boy she wanted to kill wasn't just not the old rebellion's leader, but the son of her Diamond, who now possessed her very same Gem. On top of all that, her Diamond was never actually shattered. She just claimed she did as a new identity after faking her death as a Diamond, and she didn't even share the same beliefs about the Gem hierarchy or colonization that Jasper upheld. If Jasper (who's already got plenty of other issues to work out) ever gets uncorrupted somehow and finds out the truth, I can't even imagine how she'll feel.

Also, a little something TV Tropes pointed out; this technically makes the other Diamonds Steven's aunts. And all this time, ever since Pink faked her death, the Diamonds have been trying to kill their own family without even realizing it.

This revelation changes so many elements in the show that it's not even funny.

A lot of prople are already accusing Rose's decision of being selfish but... it's really not.
We know she tried to convince the Diamonds but it didn't work and there was no way she couls have known "killing" Pink Diamond would have caused such a reaction.
Was there persinal gain involved? Yes, she wanted to live as Rose Quartz and this was the only way. But it was also for the rebellion and good of the Crystal Gems, the intention was to cause morale to lower and make the Diamonds retreat, but in the end, her plan ultimately backfired and holy ****, must that have weighted on her for all those years.

Speaking of tests, I just got back the one that I took about a week ago and it turned out to be a pretty good grade that I'm quite satisfied with. I'm feeling pretty relieved right now because of that.
